Henry Bolte notches two more hits in loss

A jumping A.J. Ewing had a shot at robbing the homer to center, but he came up a little short. Peters, who struggled mightily over the first four weeks of the second half, made very impressive contact with a 96-mph fastball on the outer edge to end the game with the White Sox’s second walkoff homer of the series. Peters also homered Saturday and is 11-for-31 with three homers and just three strikeouts in his last 10 games.

Fedde has pitched 8 2/3 scoreless innings in his last two outings as a bulk guy, lowering his season ERA to 4.18 in 118 1/3 innings. Today’s showing didn’t get him a win, but the White Sox did prevail for the first time in his six appearances this month. He’s in line to make his next appearance Saturday against the Twins, but the White Sox have flexibility there after an off day Thursday.

Taylor couldn’t hold a 1-0 lead while giving up two singles and walking two, but the White Sox picked him up in the bottom of the ninth. It goes as Taylor’s sixth blown save, but it’s just the second of those to come in the ninth and the first that’s come in a game in which he was only brought in for the ninth (he entered in the eighth the other time). The run was the first he’s allowed in 10 appearances this month and first earned run he’s given up during the second half. He should still be considered the favorite for saves in Chicago, though he’s not always going to be saved for the ninth.

McLean walked four, but the White Sox could barely touch him in the 92-pitch outing. Alas, the Mets never scored while he was in the game and ended up losing 2-1, so he remained 9-8 with a 3.21 ERA. He’ll face the Astros next weekend.

This leaves Senga 0-9 on the season. This was the first time Senga had pitched on back-to-back days since being moved to the pen (and, obviously, also before that). His velocity was down a tad on his nine pitches, the last of which was a fastball hit for a walkoff homer by Tristan Peters. It’s a bad result, but he still hasn’t blown a save in four tries and he should keep closing for the Mets for now.

Meidroth has been stuck on 49 RBI for 10 days now. He is 4-for-32 with no extra-base hits and one walk in his last eight games.

Rodón struck out two while allowing two free passes. This was his second start since late June as he makes his way back from elbow inflammation. After throwing 66 pitches earlier this week, the veteran southpaw built up to 76 on Sunday. Rodón’s health became a bit more important for the Yankees after Ryan Weathers suffered an arm injury this weekend. He’s scheduled to pitch at home against the Red Sox in his next outing.

Soriano struck out seven but posted his worst ratios since joining the Blue Jays. In his fourth start with his new team, constant traffic was an issue despite New York missing Aaron Judge and struggling lately. It might take a full offseason with the organization for any arsenal changes or mechanical plans to take shape. Soriano will draw the Mariners at home next time out.

Chisholm now has 18 homers to go along with 34 stolen bases this season. It’s helpful in fantasy, especially because his dual eligibility includes second base, one of the tougher positions to fill. However, his .220 batting average has actively hurt roto managers, and the remaining counting stats aren’t anything to get too excited about. Chisholm profiles as a potential 30/30 threat heading into 2027, but his long-term fantasy value is tied heavily to stolen bases, barring a big bounce-back season at the plate.

Jones delivered an RBI double in the second and was also caught stealing for the first time as a big-leaguer. He has seven homers and eight steals in his first 57 games with the Yankees. Of course, it has come with a 36 K%. Heliot Ramos was the odd man out with Cody Bellinger back in the lineup, but playing time will be something to watch as New York gets healthier down the stretch.
