Perdomo stays hot with three hits in rout

It’s the fourth consecutive game that Winn has found himself on the bench for due to a thumb issue. He’s still considered day-to-day and the Cardinals are hopeful that he’ll be able to return to action early next week. Ramon Urias will start in his place at second base while JJ Wetherholt slides over to cover the shortstop position.

Bohm made an early exit from Saturday’s game due to cramping in his hamstring/groin area, so the Phillies will give him an extra day off to make sure that it doesn’t develop into a long-term issue. Kyle Schwarber will make a rare start at first base in his place while Bryce Harper functions as the team’s designated hitter and Bryan De La Cruz gets a start in right field.

The 29-year-old infielder was removed from Saturday’s game after three innings due to lower body cramps. It doesn’t sound like anything that should require a trip to the injured list, but the Phillies will give him an extra day to get right. Bryson Stott will slide over and cover second base while Edmundo Sosa starts at third base and will bat eighth for the Phillies against Kyle Leahy and the Cardinals.

It’s the third straight game that Giménez has missed after suffering a right hamstring injury. The Blue Jays remain hopeful that he’ll be able to avoid a trip to the injured list. Ernie Clement will once again cover shortstop in his place and will bat sixth against Yankees’ left-hander Carlos Rodon on Sunday afternoon.

Beck has made two appearances (one start) with the Yankees this season, posting a 9.45 ERA and a 4/5 K/BB ratio while serving up four homers over 6 2/3 innings of work. It’s unclear if he’ll work as a long man out of the bullpen initially or if he’ll replace the injured Ryan Weathers (forearm) in the club’s rotation next week.

Weathers was forced to exit Saturday’s start against the Blue Jays in the fourth inning due to the injury. While the severity of the strain is still not known, he’s going to miss a couple of weeks at a minimum and it’s possible that it could cost the 26-year-old southpaw the remainder of the 2026 season. Brendan Beck was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move on Sunday.

The 31-year-old slugger will make his triumphant return to the Yankees’ lineup for Sunday’s showdown against the Blue Jays. Before landing on the injured list, Bellinger was hitting .259 with 52 runs scored, 11 homers, 53 RBI and 10 steals in 434 plate appearances. He’s starting in left field and batting cleanup against Jays’ right-hander Jose Soriano on Sunday afternoon in New York.

The 29-year-old hurler has struggled in his time at the MLB level this season, posting a miserable 8.39 ERA, 1.99 WHIP and an 18/12 K/BB ratio across 24 2/3 innings in 18 appearances between the Cardinals and Rays. With so many teams struggling to find quality bullpen depth though, there’s a chance that Raycroft generates interest on waivers.

The 30-year-old hurler has finally made it all the way back after undergoing Tommy John surgery last August. He’ll provide Rays’ skipper Kevin Cash with another weapon to deploy from the right side in the middle innings. Chris Roycroft was designated for assignment in a corresponding move on Sunday.

He’ll function as the Braves’ extra player for the Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Sunday evening. Hicklen has hit .368 (7-for-19) with four doubles, three RBI and an 8/4 K/BB ratio in his limited action with the Braves this season.
