Marlins recall Dax Fulton from Jacksonville

It was Tucker’s first homer since August 8, and just the 12th of the season for the 29-year-old. It hasn’t hurt the Dodgers much, but Tucker has been one of the biggest disappointments in baseball in his first season in Los Angeles with a slash of just .226/.327/.359.

Snell threw 100 pitches, and 65 of those landed for strikes. It wasn’t as dominant as his start last weekend against the Tigers when he whiffed 10, but he was just as effective, if not more so. The 33-year-old has been sensational when healthy enough to pitch in 2026, and his ERA is now at a healthy 1.97. Obviously, Snell has to be in fantasy lineups for Wednesday’s scheduled start at home versus the Reds.

Kent gave up three runs in the third and an unearned one in the fourth. The 23-year-old was excellent in his previous outing against the Marlins with seven innings of one-run baseball, but he didn’t face the Marlins in this one. Kent walked four, struck out four and has looked mediocre — at best — thus far in his limited MLB action. He’ll take a 5.55 ERA into a start scheduled for Wednesday against the Padres.

Campusano also singled. The 27-year-old continued his strong campaign at the plate by taking Paul Blackburn deep in the bottom of the 10th to give the Padres a much-needed win in their quest to clinch one of the final postseason berths in the National League. He’s been limited to just 56 games, but in those contests he’s now hit six homers, driven in 25 runs and slashed .283/.364/.465. You can do a heck of a lot worse than that.

It looks like Miller was going to pick up the loss after he gave up an RBI single to Spencer Jones in the top of the 10th. That run was unearned because it was the inherited extra runner, and he struck out four while lowering his ERA to 1.21 and picking up his fifth win of the season.

Rice hit his 36th homer of the season with a solo shot off Walker Buehler; one of only two runs the Yankees were able to score in the contest. The 27-year-old has gone through it over the last couple of months, but it’s hard to complain about that level of production from Rice or really any other player.

Buehler struck out six, walked two and allowed just three hits in a solid start for the right-hander. The only blemish in turns of run-prevention was a solo homer from Ben Rice in the third inning. After a less-than-spectacular first half of the year, Buehler has appeared to figure it out, and his 4.56 ERA isn’t indicative of how he’s pitched the last few months. He gets the Nationals at home next week.

Fried and Will Warren were set to piggyback, but Fried was able to go nearly six while Warren threw 2 1/3 scoreless inning after he departed. The southpaw struck out four, and he walked just one while allowing just an RBI single to Xander Bogaerts in the second. Fried looked good Friday, and he’ll look to continue to lower his ERA from a solid 2.73 against the Rockies at home next week.

Montes injured the hip while trying to make a play on Zack Gelof’s triple. The 21-year-old will likely undergo testing to determine the severity, but there’s a good chance he’ll miss Saturday’s game. Taylor Ward has taken over in the outfield.

Baker clearly wasn’t feeling well, and it affected his pitching with two walks and no outs recorded before leaving. The good news is this isn’t arm-related, so there’s a good chance Baker is closing games for the Rays in the coming days. Tyler Wells — who converted Friday’s chance after Baker exited — would likely get the chance if he’s unavailable this weekend.
