Kazuma Okamoto went 1-for-3 with a homer, a walk, and two runs scored as the Blue Jays defeated the Mariners 7-0 on Sunday.
Okamoto connected for a solo shot in the sixth that put Toronto up 4-0. It was his 28th homer of the year, double the next-highest total on the Blue Jays, George Springer’s 14. It’s also quadruple Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s total. Okamoto also leads the team in runs, RBI, and slugging percentage in his first MLB season.
