Dean Kremer allowed two runs in five innings and got the win in the Twins’ 3-2 victory over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Kremer gave up five hits, walked one and struck out three. He’s 3-5 with the win. Kremer improved on the five earned runs he allowed in his last start, which was also against the Tigers. He still has a 6.46 ERA in 23 2/3 innings over his last five starts and a 5.65 ERA on the year. Kremer is lined up to face the Yankees at home next week, but he doesn’t need to be rostered in most fantasy leagues at this point.

Dodgers sent OF Alek Thomas outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Thomas will stick around as emergency depth for Los Angeles after passing through waivers unclaimed. The 26-year-old defensive specialist was designated for assignment over the weekend after going 4-for-19 with three RBI during seven games with the Dodgers.

Orlando Ribalta (forearm) underwent an MRI that didn’t reveal any structural damage.

Ribalta could potentially make it back to Washington’s bullpen before the conclusion of the regular season, but there is zero reason for them to rush him back. The 28-year-old hit the injured list unexpectedly after experiencing forearm inflammation over the weekend. The positive news is that he’s not facing a lengthy absence.

Roki Sasaki (blister) could be activated from the injured list next week.

Sasaki hit the injured list with a blister on his right middle finger roughly two weeks ago. It sounds like the issue has resolved itself to the point that he’ll be able to take the ball again for the final two weeks of the season.

Edwin Díaz (neck) could potentially be activated from the injured list this weekend.

Díaz is slated to make back-to-back appearances for Triple-A Oklahoma City this week before he’s potentially activated from the injured list. The 32-year-old former elite closer has been on the shelf with neck inflammation since late August. It feels highly unlikely that he’ll be thrust into high-leverage spots for the Dodgers right away.

Dansby Swanson (oblique) could begin a minor league rehab assignment next week, according to ESPN’s Jesse Rogers.

It sounds like there’s a decent chance that Swanson is back for the final week of the regular season after getting a couple rehab contests under his belt. The 32-year-old shortstop hit the injured list with an oblique strain back in mid-August.

Shea Langeliers (knee) will begin a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.

Langeliers is on track to return at some point next week and will be limited to DH exclusively after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee back in July. It was believed to be a season-ending procedure at the time, but Langeliers has made a rapid recovery. He’s obviously worth picking up in any fantasy leagues where he’s available as a decent catching option for the final week-plus of the season.

    Diamondbacks released OF Max Kepler.

Kepler went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment over the weekend. The 33-year-old is merely a platoon option at this stage of his career. He hit just .205/.262/.303 with two homers and 15 RBI in 145 plate appearances for the Diamondbacks this season.

Orioles sent RHP Albert Suárez outright to Triple-A Norfolk.

There’s a strong chance Suárez sticks around with Baltimore as emergency depth to close out the year. The 36-year-old passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment over the weekend.
