Dillon Dingler went 1-for-4 and blasted a two-run homer on Friday night as the Tigers triumphed over the visiting Rockies at Comerica Park.
After striking out in each of his first two plate appearances, Dingler finally got off the schneid as he ambushed a first-pitch fastball from Nick Frasso for a 408-foot (107.4-mph EV) two-run shot that increased the Tigers’ lead to 4-1. It’s his first home run since homering in three straight games from August 4-6. For the season, he’s now slashing .246/.306/.460 with 27 homers and 87 RBI.
