Spencer Torkelson went 2-for-4 and clubbed his 23rd home run of the season on Sunday as the Tigers triumphed over the Rockies.
Torkelson tagged Rockies’ right-hander Nick Frasso for a 389-foot (102.9-mph EV) solo shot in the fifth inning that extended the Tigers’ lead to 8-1. He also reached on an infield single in the contest. With his two-hit attack, the 27-year-old slugger is now hitting .222/.314/.412 with 23 long balls and 68 RBI in his 562 plate appearances.
