Jared Jones was brilliant in a no-decision against the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, allowing just one hit over four innings of scoreless baseball.

The 25-year-old right-hander punched out five batters on the afternoon and didn’t allow a base on balls. The only hit against him came on a two-out single off the bat of Kevin McGonigle in the fourth inning. Jones got 10 whiffs on 55 pitches on the day — five of those on his slider — while posting a CSW of 29 percent. He finishes the 2026 season with a 5-6 record, 3.72 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and a 123/31 K/BB ratio over 101 2/3 innings in 21 starts. The arrow is definitely pointing up for Jones heading into 2027.

It was a dominant performance from Jones, who is 3-0 with a 1.08 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 25 innings over his last four starts. He has a 3.87 ERA this year. Assuming all goes well in his next start against a lite-hitting Tigers lineup on Sunday, Jones will finish the season on a high note and have positive momentum heading into 2027.

Jared Jones surrendered three runs and struck out nine in five innings Wednesday against the Brewers.

Two of the runs came in the second. Jones started the inning with two outs, only to then give up four straight singles, none of them coming on hard-hit balls. That ended his scoreless streak at 14 innings. The nine strikeouts matched his season high, as he reached that total for the third time. He’s slated to make his next start Tuesday against the Cardinals. It’s set up to be a two-start week for him, but if he pitches in the season finale, we imagine it’d be a short outing.

Jared Jones delivered a dazzling performance in Thursday night’s victory over the White Sox, allowing just one hit and two walks over seven shutout innings.

Jones racked up eight strikeouts in the dominant performance. The lone hit against him came with two outs in the seventh inning as Colson Montgomery doubled to right. The 25-year-old righty piled up a whopping 20 swings and misses on 90 offerings in the game — 12 of those on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 33 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 4.10 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 100/30 K/BB ratio (85 2/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Brewers on Wednesday.

Jared Jones tossed six scoreless innings and got the win in the Pirates’ 1-0 victory over the Angels on Friday.

Jones gave up three hits, walked one and struck out nine. He improved to 3-6 in 17 starts this year. Jones went 0-4 and had a 7.40 ERA in five starts in August, but was able to turn the page and get off to an excellent start in September. He has a 4.46 ERA. Jones is lined up to face the White Sox on the road next week.

Jared Jones is getting pushed back a day and will make his next start Friday against the Angels.

The Pirates are listing TBA for Thursday versus the Giants, but they could again use the Lake Bachar/Carmen Mlodzinski combo on four days’ rest that day. After missing last year following elbow surgery, Jones, who allowed three runs in 4 2/3 innings Friday against the Cardinals, figures to continue to be used carefully down the stretch.

Jones held the Dodgers scoreless through three innings before things got away from him a bit in the fourth. Los Angeles brought a pair of runs in on three hits and a walk. Jones would get out of the inning with the bases loaded. His day would be done after four frames at 87 pitches. He struck out five. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 4.76 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and a 77/26 K/BB ratio across 68 innings into a start against the Cardinals in St. Louis on Friday.

Jared Jones allowed one run in five innings and took the loss against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Jones gave up four hits, walked two and struck out seven. He fell to 2-5 with the loss. Jones bounced back with a solid effort after allowing eight earned runs in his last start. Still, it wasn’t enough to beat the Red Sox with Sonny Gray pitching lights out. Jones has a 4.78 ERA in 14 starts. He’s lined up to face the Dodgers on the road next weekend.

Jared Jones had the worst outing of his career on Sunday against the Mets, allowing eight earned runs on six hits and three walks over three innings pitched.

Jones struck out three while his 2026 ERA spiked to 5.03. The eight earned runs are the most he’s ever given up in a big-league start. He departed with the bases loaded and no outs in the fourth, and all three inherited runs came around to score on a Bo Bichette double. Jones’ afternoon got off to a rough start in the first inning and never recovered. He draws the red-hot Red Sox at home next time out.

This could have been worse, as Jones gave up eight hits in the outing, and two of those hits were homers. Fortunately both roundtrippers were solo shots, and he did a decent job of wiggling out of jams with four strikeouts. That’s not to say this was an effective outing, but it could’ve been a disaster. He’ll take a 4.02 ERA into a scheduled start against the Mets on Sunday.

Jones struck out five and walked two. He pitched well enough to keep the Pirates in the game, but the offense had no answer for Eduardo Rodriguez, who tossed eight scoreless. The 24-year-old righty has now made 11 starts in his return from elbow surgery. He’s throwing harder and posting a higher K-BB% than he did as a rookie in 2024. His next start is scheduled to come in Milwaukee.

Andy Pages hit a three-run homer in the 10th inning as the Dodgers beat the Giants 5-1 on Sunday.

Pages had a sac fly that accounted for the Dodgers’ only run over the first nine innings. He had a chance to break the game open with two on in the eighth, but he instead grounded into an inning-ending double play. He got another chance in the 10th after an Alex Call double gave the Dodgers the lead and essentially put the game away with his 23rd homer of the year. It was his second in six games since he returned from a fractured hand. He ends up at .274/.343/.468 with 85 RBI in 134 games.

It’s surprising that he hasn’t been able to miss more bats with his 95-99 mph fastball, cutter and slider, and he might be in some danger of landing on the waiver wire with the Giants needing to make room for a bunch of injured players returning from the 60-day IL.

Conine connected on his 19th homer of the season. The 29-year-old appeared in only 94 games, but he made the most of them with an .846 OPS and 43 RBI. It seems likely that Conine did enough to earn a larger role with Miami to open the 2027 season, and his power makes him someone to monitor in deeper formats.

Raise your hand if you predicted that figure. You liar. Alcantara went 13-11 in 2026 with a 153/59 K/BB over 214 innings. The right-hander showed he’s still a strong option, and be it for Miami or a new club, there will be fantasy-relevance, even if he doesn’t miss bats with the best of them.

Ritchie’s final start of the season saw him allow seven hits and walks, and he struck out just two. The right-hander went 1-5 on the year with a 4.91 ERA, but there were positives moments for the 23-year-old, and assuming there aren’t drastic changes, there’s a decent chance he’ll be a rotation option for Atlanta in 2027. He’s more dynasty play than redraft next year, but the stuff is good enough that it could lead to a breakout next summer.

The Astros will host the White Sox in the Wild Card. Walker has been pretty bad for five months, but he did come through really nicely in the end, homering in four of his final six games. He ends up with a .226/.299/.427 line, 29 homers and 87 RBI. Three years in a row now, he’s finished with 26-29 homers, 84-88 RBI and 72-73 runs scored.
