Danny Richar hit a grand slam against the Mariners on Friday, but the White Sox still lost the game 5-4.
Starter Miguel Batista suddenly lost his command in the seventh inning and walked three straight batters with one out in the inning. George Sherrill was then called upon to face the left-handed Richar, but the rookie second basemen took the southpaw deep for his first career home run. Although he was off to a slow start befoer tonight, Richar is worth continuing to stick with in AL-only leagues.

  • CIN Right Fielder #4
Noelvi Marte went 1-for-3 with a solo homer to lead the Reds to a 2-1 win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
With the game tied 1-1 in the eighth inning, Marte came through for the Reds in a big way, taking Juan Morillo deep for a solo homer. It would prove to be the deciding run in the game. He’s certainly worth a look in all formats if he’s earned himself every day playing time with his recent play.
