Scott Moore left Wednesday’s game with a left groin strain.
It’s likely more than a day-to-day injury. Moore picked up a single in his two at-bats against Kevin Correia before exiting.

Munetaka Murakami went 3-for-5 with a grand slam Friday as the White Sox crushed the A’s 9-2.
Murakami took a middle-middle fastball from Elvis Alvarado and hit it 431 feet to center. It was a bad pitch, but it was a 98-mph bad pitch, and given the questions about Murakami’s ability to hit MLB velocity, it was an encouraging development. Murakami is batting .200/.361/.477 with six homers through 83 plate appearances.
Baldwin scorching to start the season for Atlanta
James Schiano discusses Drake Baldwin's hot start to the season and the metrics that show why he may challenge Cal Raleigh for the best hitting catcher.
  • CWS Starting Pitcher #65
Davis Martin tossed seven innings of one-run ball in defeating the A’s on Friday.
Martin struck out four and walked two. He allowed just three hits despite giving up nine hard-hit balls. The win makes him 3-1 with a 2.16 ERA and a 19/6 K/BB in 25 innings, but he’s still giving up too much hard contact and too many flyballs to be very interesting in fantasy leagues. He’ll face the Diamondbacks next week.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #45
Aaron Civale surrendered five runs and 11 hits over 4 2/3 innings Friday in a loss to the White Sox.
Civale was coming off nice outings against the Yankees (1 R in 5 IP) and Mets (0 R in 5 2/3 IP), but the lowly White Sox got to him. in fact, he allowed more hits tonight than in his first three starts combined (10). Civale was never a good bet in a tough environment in Sacramento, and he should be avoided in fantasy leagues going forward, even though his next start, in Seattle against the Mariners, makes for a pretty good matchup.
  • CWS 2nd Baseman #0
Luisangel Acuña went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, a walk and a steal Friday against the A’s.
The double, which was sent 378 feet to right-center, just missed being his first homer since 2024, when he somehow had three in 14 games for the Mets. He’s gone 112 games without one since. He’s much more prolific when it comes to stealing bases. He got his fifth tonight, making him 21-for-22 there since the beginning of last year.
  • HOU Relief Pitcher #89
Astros signed RHP Miguel Yajure to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old hurler hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since the 2022 season with the Giants and spent the past two seasons pitching in Japan. Given the unbelievable number of injuries that the Astros are dealing with in their starting rotation at the moment, they need to stockpile depth any way that they can, so this move makes sense.
  • SEA 2nd Baseman #33
Brendan Donovan left Friday’s game because of left hip tightness, according to the Mariners.
Donovan is day-to-day. Leo Rivas might be needed to start in his place Saturday against the Rangers.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #50
Bryce Miller (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.
The 27-year-old hurler has been shelved since his first start of the spring due to a left oblique strain. He’s expected to require the full 30 days that are allotted to him on a minor league rehab assignment in order to build back up before potentially joining the M’s rotation. Barring any setbacks along the way, that would put his return in mid-May.
  • LAA Right Fielder #3
Josh Lowe went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in the Angels’ 8-0 shutout of the Padres on Friday.
Lowe is batting just .167, but he does have three homers and nine RBI through 62 plate appearances. His chances of pulling off a big rebound don’t seem great, given his poor exit velocity and strikeout numbers to date, but he might get to 20 homers and 20 steals without being much help elsewhere.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #59
José Soriano moved to 5-0 by shutting out the Padres for 5 2/3 innings Friday.
Soriano struck out eight. He walked four and threw first-pitch strikes to only 11 of 23 batters, but that didn’t hurt on a night in which he gave up two hits. He’s through five starts having allowed just one run this season, so he’ll take a 0.28 ERA into next week’s outing against the Blue Jays.
  • LAA Relief Pitcher #68
Jordan Romano struck out three of the four batters he faced to finish off an 8-0 game against the Padres on Friday.
The Angels will have to hope it’s just the Yankees that Romano melts down against. He allowed a double tonight, but he got whiffs on six of the eight swings against him. He should be available to close if there’s a save chance Saturday.
