He had a 2.76 ERA in 45 2/3 innings between the rotation and bullpen last season. He’s a recommended add in most fantasy leagues, but he’ll face another tough test in his next start on the road against the White Sox.

Drew Anderson struck out four over two scoreless innings to earn his second save of the season on Sunday.

Anderson allowed one hit and two walks in Game 2 of Sunday’s doubleheader against the Orioles. He’s mostly been used in multi-inning appearances out of the bullpen, but he drew the start earlier this week against the Guardians and struck out seven. Kenley Jansen struggled in Game 1, but Anderson’s role doesn’t match that of a closer-in-waiting. He’ll likely grab some saves here and there as long as he’s pitching in relief.

Trevor Rogers took his sixth straight loss on Sunday against the Tigers, yielding four runs on four hits over 4 2/3 innings.

Rogers struck out two and walked two. Things got off to a poor start with Dillon Dingler’s two-run homer in the first. Rogers began the year with three quality starts, but he’s given up 4+ runs in five of his past six outings. Last year’s 1.81 ERA has dramatically regressed, and he’ll carry a 6.96 into his next scheduled start versus the Blue Jays.

Dillon Dingler

Dillon Dingler hit his 10th home run in Game 2 of Sunday’s doubleheader versus the Orioles.

Dingler popped a two-run homer in the first that scored Kevin McGonigle. He continues to post high-end expected stats, particularly on the slugging side. His profile leans SLG over OBP, and the counting stats receive a boost from how often he plays. Through Sunday, he has the seventh most plate appearances among primary catchers.

Kevin McGonigle went 1-for-4 with two RBI, a run sscored, and a stolen base as the Tigers defeated the Orioles in the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader.

The rookie infielder is up to three homers and eight thefts this season. His plate discipline has been excellent with more walks than strikeouts, and the lack of homers is the only thing keeping him from fantasy stardom. McGonigle continues to shift between shortstop and third base while maintaining a top-three spot in the lineup since April began.

Adley Rutschman went 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored as the Orioles fell to the Tigers in the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader.

Rutschman continued his bounce-back campaign with four walks. His walk rate is well below the high-end marks he was posting earlier in his career, but he’s slugging at a higher clip than ever before. The Orioles host the Rays and Blue Jays in a seven-game week beginning Monday.

Jacob Lopez earned the win on Sunday against the Padres, firing 4 2/3 innings of one-run ball out of the bullpen.

Lopez struck out three, walked one, and allowed six hits. Luis Medina served as an opener since Lopez entered the start with an ERA over 6. The plan worked as it was the first time this season he pitched multiple innings and allowed fewer than two runs. Consider him an avoid for fantasy purposes with his next appearance at home against the Yankees.

Barlow recorded two outs after Hogan Harris got into trouble to begin the ninth. It was Barlow’s first save of the season, and he became the third Athletics reliever to earn one this week. Harris should remain the favorite for ninth-inning chances.

King struck out four. He surrendered a leadoff homer to Carlos Cortes, setting the tone for the rest of his afternoon. He might’ve been due for a clunker given his double-digit walk rate and lack of homers allowed prior to Sunday. He’ll still carry a 2.76 ERA into a road matchup against the Nationals in his next scheduled start.

Cortes led off the ballgame with a solo shot off Michael King on an 0-2 count. The 28-year-old breakout has walked more than he has struck out this season, and he was recently given the leadoff role against right-handers. That premium lineup spot could help with counting stats to offset any possible regression Cortes faces this summer.
