Chris Flexen logged a quality start in a no-decision against the White Sox on Sunday, allowing just two runs (one earned) on seven hits over his six innings of work.
The right-hander racked up five strikeouts on the afternoon and didn’t walk a batter. He served up a solo homer to Andrew Vaughn in the second inning, then the White Sox added an unearned run against him in the third — but that was the extent of the damage done against him. Flexen exited with the Rockies leading 5-2, but the bullpen was unable to hang on for him. He’ll try to further improve upon his 7.18 ERA and 1.79 WHIP when he squares off against the Orioles in Baltimore on Saturday.
