Blue Jays acquired C Max McDowell from the Phillies for cash considerations.
McDowell provides the Blue Jays with some extra catching depth in the upper minors moving forward. The 29-year-old backstop has yet to reach the majors.
  • MIL Shortstop #87

Brewers recalled INF Cooper Pratt from Triple-A Nashville.
Gomez becoming trustworthy closer for Twins
Eric Samulski discusses Twins closer Yoendrys Gomez's recent performances on the mound, in which he's had two saves in his last three appearances and is turning out to be a reliable option in Minnesota's bullpen.
  • TOR Shortstop #0
Andrés Giménez is back in the starting lineup against the Red Sox on Tuesday.
Giménez, 27, was scratched from Sunday’s lineup due to soreness in his left wrist. The veteran infielder is good to go with Davis Schneider on the bench to open Tuesday’s tilt against the Red Sox.
  • TOR 1st Baseman #27
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (back) is hitting third and playing first base against the Red Sox on Tuesday.
Guerrero Jr. missed Saturday and Sunday’s game while dealing with tightness in his back. The 27-year-old is good to go to begin the series against Boston, so Charles McAdoo retreats to the bench to make room for Vladdy Jr. in the lineup.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #66
Orioles optioned RHP Anthony Nunez to Triple-A Norfolk.
Nunez had some flashes early in the season, but the 24-year-old has scuffled as of late to see his ERA balloon to 4.98 with a 38/14 K/BB ratio over 34 1/3 innings. He should be back at some point this summer, but Ryan Helsley (elbow) is back to resume closing duties for Baltimore.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #21
Orioles activated RHP Ryan Helsley from the 15-day injured list.
Helsley is back after missing almost exactly six weeks with his elbow injury. The right-hander should return to closing games for Baltimore, and should be reinstated into fantasy lineups now that he’s back with the O’s.
  • FA Relief Pitcher
    Phillies released RHP Jackson Rutledge.
Rutledge was designated for assignment by the Phillies on Thursday, and he’ll now be a free agent rather than report back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The former first-round pick will likely see some interest as a potential reclamation project.
  • PHI Shortstop #7
Trea Turner (wrist) is not in the starting lineup against the Marlins on Tuesday.
With Turner out, Brandon Marsh will hit leadoff, and Edmundo Sosa will play shortstop and hit ninth. Turner is considered day-to-day with a right wrist contusion and already had x-rays return negative, so there’s a good chance he’s back in the lineup in the coming days.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher
Adam Jude of the Seattle Times reports that Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan are “not in the immediate plans” for the Seattle Mariners.
The Mariners not only have six starters working right now deserving of rotation nods, but also arguably the best left-handed and right-handed pitching prospects in baseball in Anderson and Sloan. Anderson has been particularly impressive with a 1.13 ERA and 82/6 K/BB ERA in Double-A, but Sloan is a 20-year-old with three pitches that can miss bats and has flashed brilliance in the same league. Jude does note that both have a chance to pitch for Seattle later this summer, but for now, Double-A hitters are going to have a bad time when they face Arkansas.
  • NYM Shortstop #2
Mets designated INF Vidal Bruján for assignment.
Brujan is off the roster to make room for Zack Short. The former top prospect now hits the waiver wire, and it won’t be a huge surprise if a team needing depth has interest in Bruján’s services.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #34
Mets activated RHP Kodai Senga from the 15-day injured list.
Senga is back to make his return after missing close to two months with both a back and arm issue. The right-hander was awful prior to his placement on the injured list, and while Senga has had success at the highest level, fantasy managers may want to see how he looks in the majors before rushing to the waiver wire.
