Julio Rodríguez launched his 31st round-tripper of the season on Wednesday, leading the Mariners to a 6-3 victory over the Athletics.
Rodríguez, who will undergo precautionary X-rays after being hit by a pitch on the left hand in his second at-bat of the contest, clobbered a fifth-inning solo shot off Athletics rookie Joey Estes to join Alex Rodriguez (1998) and Ronald Acuña Jr. (2019) as just the third player age 22 or younger in baseball history with 30 homers, 100 RBI and 30 steals in a single season. That’ll work for fantasy managers. There should be an update on his status at some point prior to Friday’s pivotal series opener against the Rangers.
