Edouard Julien went 3-for-5 with a homer, double and three RBI on Saturday as the Twins clobbered the Rockies 14-6 at Coors Field.

The 24-year-old infielder smacked a run-scoring double in the sixth inning that extended the Twins’ lead to 7-0, then scored on Max Kepler’s three-run blast. Julien then hammered a 452-foot two-run shot of his own in the seventh inning that made it a 14-0 ballgame. With his three-hit night, he’s now hitting .263/.381/.461 with 16 homers, 36 RBI and three stolen bases across 403 plate appearances on the season.

Dodgers optioned INF/OF Hyeseong Kim to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Kim entered the spring as the favorite to start at second base while Tommy Edman was sidelined, so this one comes as a major surprise. Especially after he hit .407 (11-for-27) with a homer, six RBI and five stolen bases during Cactus League play. Santiago Espinal and Alex Freeland are expected to function in a platoon at the position now that Kim has been demoted.

Suwinski had an impressive Cactus League season with his new ballclub, hitting .375 (3-for-8) with three homers and five RBI in his limited action, but he was never going to crack a crowded Opening Day roster. He’ll open the season as a regular in the lineup at Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Despite it being the final Sunday of spring training, there were no real surprises among this batch of cuts. The Cubs still have 38 players remaining in big league camp as they attempt to whittle down their roster in advance of Opening Day.

Marlins optioned LHP Cade Gibson to Triple-A Jacksonville; Reassigned RHP Tyler Zuber to minor league camp.

Gibson’s demotion comes as a bit of a surprise, as the 27-year-old southpaw posted a strong 3.38 ERA over 34 2/3 innings out of the team’s bullpen during the 2025 campaign. His demotion opens a spot in the team’s Opening Day bullpen for Andrew Nardi to make his triumphant return after missing the entire 2025 season.

Guardians re-signed RHP Pedro Avila to a minor league contract.

The 29-year-old hurler was released earlier in the week as he asked to explore other opportunities, but he ultimately decided that returning to the Guardians made the most sense for him. He’ll begin the season as extra bullpen depth at Triple-A Columbus.

Guardians selected the contract of RHP Codi Heuer from Triple-A Columbus and optioned him to Triple-A Columbus.

The 29-year-old hurler earns a spot on the team’s 40-man roster, but he doesn’t win a spot in the club’s Opening Day bullpen. He’ll start out the season as extra depth at the Triple-A level and should be the next man up when the Guardians need a fresh arm.

Kyle Bradish

BAL Starting Pitcher #38
Orioles’ manager Craig Albernaz announced his rotation to open the 2026 season on Sunday, with Kyle Bradish set to follow Trevor Rogers.

Rogers had already been announced as the Opening Day starter. Bradish will pitch on Saturday against the Twins with Shane Baz working the finale of that opening series. Chris Bassitt and Zach Eflin will then work the first two games against the Rangers.

Mets’ manager Carlos Mendoza announced Sunday that Mike Tauchman has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee and will require surgery.

It’s a tough break for Tauchman who was having an outstanding spring and was well on his way to making the Mets’ Opening Day roster. The 35-year-old outfielder is going to be sidelined for at least 4-6 weeks. That paves the way for Carson Benge to open the season as the team’s starting right fielder.

Craig Kimbrel

NYM Relief Pitcher #46

The Mets have informed veteran right-hander Craig Kimbrel that he will not make the team’s Opening Day roster.

It’s unclear if the 37-year-old hurler will be willing to go to Triple-A Syracuse until there’s a need at the big league level or if he’ll want to explore opportunities elsewhere instead. Kimbrel posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and a 5/5 K/BB ratio over six innings during six Grapefruit League appearances.

Alika Williams

Pirates optioned C Rafael Flores and RHP Cam Sanders to Triple-A Indianapolis. Reassigned INF Alika Williams, LHP Joe La Sorsa and RHPs Chris Devenski and Carson Fulmer to minor league camp.

On the pitching side, Devenski had a shot at making the team’s Opening Day bullpen, but struggled to a 6.75 ERA and 1.69 WHIP over 5 1/3 innings during Grapefruit League play. Williams had a solid spring offensively, hitting .258 (8-for-31) with a homer and seven RBI, but that wasn’t enough to secure a spot on the Pirates’ Opening Day bench.
