Padres signed RHP Woo Suk Go to a two-year, $4.5 million contract with a $3 million mutual option for 2026.
The deal is now official. Go figures to be in the mix for saves right away in San Diego along with hard-throwing righty Robert Suarez and Japanese southpaw Yuki Matsui. The 25-year-old righty heads to the Padres after spending the last seven seasons as a relief ace for the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization, compiling 139 saves along with a strong 3.18 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 401/163 K/BB ratio across 368 1/3 innings (354 appearances). He’ll be worth monitoring closely in spring training to determine where he falls in San Diego’s late-inning pecking order.
