Dansby Swanson went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI, leading the Cubs to a 10-6 victory over the Rangers on Tuesday evening at Wrigley Field.
Swanson got the scoring started for the Cubs with a 395-foot (107.7 mph EV) solo shot off of Patrick Corbin to open the home half of the second inning. He put the Cubs ahead 4-3 with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning and then did so again with a two-run single in the eighth that proved to be the difference in the game. The 31-year-old shortstop is hitting just .226/.300/.509 on the season, though that has come with four homers, 11 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Fantasy managers will surely take the drain on the batting average for the rest of the stellar production across the board.
