  • KC Shortstop #7
Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-5 with a double and a two-run home run against the Mets on Friday.
Witt’s home run was No. 14 for him this season. The 25-year-old shortstop blasted a two-run home run in the seventh inning to put the Royals up 3-1. The bullpen ultimately couldn’t hold that lead, but at the time it was a clutch home run by Witt. He’s hitting .297 with an .858 OPS and 54 RBI this year.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #52
Michael Wacha allowed one run in five innings and got a no-decision against the Mets on Friday.

Senga gave up four hits, walked two and struck out four. The 32-year-old right-hander was pulled after just four innings and 67 pitches out of an abundance of caution. All of the damage done against him came on one swing of the bat by José Ramírez in the third inning. Aside from that blemish, he was terrific though. Cannon generated 10 swings and misses on 87 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He heads into the All-Star break with a 3-7 record, 4.44 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and a 61/29 K/BB ratio over 77 innings through his first 15 appearances (13 starts) on the season.

With his two-hit effort, Jones is now hitting .233/.320/.338 with just three homers, 23 RBI and six stolen bases on the season.
