His recent MRI revealed only inflammation in his right elbow and the Dodgers had been hopeful that he would only require a minimum stint on the injured list, so it’s a bit surprising to hear that he’ll now be shelved until the middle of July at the earliest. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues who had been hoping that Phillips could work his way into the saves mix can safely cut bait.

The bullpen churn continues. The Rangers are bringing up a fresh arm as they try to hang on for the AL West division title. Collyer has posted an underwhelming 5.09 ERA across 23 innings of low-leverage work this season.

Santos will remain on standby with the Rangers on the verge of punching their ticket to the postseason in a couple days. The 24-year-old righty has made just one relief appearance in the big leagues this season. He’ll be in the mix for a playoff roster spot.

The decision bumps Clay Holmes back to Friday’s doubleheader against the Red Sox with David Peterson expected to start the other contest. It’s a nice break for fantasy managers as Boyd draws a much easier matchup to close out the regular season.

Lee rejoins Toronto’s bullpen for the nightcap of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Orioles. He’s been hit hard in seven relief appearances this season.

Van Eyk draws the starting assignment for the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Orioles. The 28-year-old rookie has posted a 4.05 ERA across 6 2/3 innings at the big-league level. He’s not a recommended fantasy option.

Cease has been shut down after the Blue Jays were officially eliminated from playoff contention following a loss to the Orioles in the front-end of Wednesday’s doubleheader. The 30-year-old upper-echelon fantasy starter was unlikely to pitch again this season after undergoing an MRI that revealed shoulder inflammation earlier this week. The positive news is that he won’t require surgery and should be a full-go for spring training. He wraps up an impressive Blue Jays debut with a stellar 2.40 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 239/78 K/BB ratio across 169 innings over 29 starts. He’ll be a top-10 starter off the board in most fantasy drafts next spring.

Yandy Díaz is also getting a breather after the Rays wrapped up the AL East division title earlier this week at Yankee Stadium. The 25-year-old speedster has been on fire recently, hitting .322 (19-for-59) while piling up eight stolen bases over his last 15 games. He’s up to 46 steals on the year.

Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said on Monday that Johnson (neck) could miss the remainder of the season. ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news today about Johnson being placed on injured reserve, though he did not specify whether Johnson’s season is for sure over. Cardinals slot CB Garrett Williams (Achilles) and perimeter CB2 Max Melton (toe) are also dealing with injuries.

The Rays made the decision to give Seymour an extra day of rest after clinching the AL East division title earlier this week. It’ll be Mason Englert starting Wednesday’s contest at Yankee Stadium.
