Shane Baz surrendered three runs over 5 1/3 innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Red Sox.
Baz carried a shutout bid into the fifth inning before Boston finally broke through, tacking on a pair of runs in the ensuing frame as well. He finished with five strikeouts and issued three walks. He generated 13 swinging strikes and notched a solid 33 percent CSW. The 25-year-old former top prospect has struggled to keep the ball in the yard this season, which makes it notable that this was his first outing since April 25 that he didn’t cough up a round-tripper. He’s allowed three earned runs or fewer in five of his last six starts since May 13. He’ll bring a respectable 4.97 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 65/26 K/BB ratio across 70 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Mets at Citi Field.

Jordan Walker singled, walked and scored a pair of runs as the Cardinals bested the Astros 6-5 in Grapefruit League play on Sunday.
Walker hustled out an infield single against Mike Burrows in the first inning but was ultimately left stranded there. He then reached on a fielder’s choice in the second and scored on a two-run double off the bat of Yohel Pozo. Walker also drew a leadoff walk in the fifth inning and scored on a ground ball off the bat of Cesar Prieto. The former top prospect needs a strong spring to secure his spot as a regular in the Cardinals’ lineup and Sunday was at least a small step in that direction.
Schiano: It's 'impossible' to draft Westburg
Eric Samulski and James Schiano react to Jordan Westburg's latest injury and why fantasy managers should not be drafting him.

Kyle Leahy pitched well in his Grapefruit League debut against the Astros on Sunday, allowing one run on one hit across two frames.
The 28-year-old right-hander punched out three batters on the afternoon and didn’t issue a walk. The only blemish on his day came on a solo home run off the bat of Jack Winkler in the second inning. Aside from that, he was brilliant. Leahy threw 18 of his 29 pitches for strikes, generating four swings and misses and posting a CSW of 34 percent. He appears to be locked into a spot in the Cardinals’ Opening Day rotation and makes for an intriguing late-round option for fantasy purposes.
  • HOU 2nd Baseman #63
Jack Winkler went 1-for-2 and slugged a solo home run as the Astros fell to the Cardinals in Grapefruit League action on Sunday afternoon.
Winkler, 27, did his damage off of Cardinals’ right-hander Kyle Leahy in the second inning — crushing a 1-0 fastball for a 397-foot (106.5 mph EV) solo shot. With a strong showing in Grapefruit League play, Winkley could push for a utility spot on the Astros’ Opening Day roster, though he’s likely fighting an uphill battle.
  • HOU Pitcher #50
Mike Burrows looked sharp in his Grapefruit League debut on Sunday, striking out two batters over a pair of scoreless innings against the Cardinals.
Burrows peppered the strike zone in his Astros’ debut, throwing 19 of his 24 pitches for strikes. The only hit against him came on a soft infield single off the bat of Jordan Walker with two outs in the first inning while his two punch outs came courtesy of Victor Scott II and Blaze Jordan. It’s obviously just one start against a Cardinals’ team that was missing many of its regulars, but it was a very strong first impression for Burrows.
  • MIL Pitcher #43
Logan Henderson fired a scoreless inning in his first spring training start Sunday against the White Sox.
Henderson didn’t allow a hit or a walk with no strikeouts. The 23-year-old opens the year as one of the favorites to win one of the final spots in the Brew Crew’s rotation, and there’s more fantasy upside in his right arm than your typical backend option.
  • SEA Relief Pitcher #68
Randy Dobnak gave up five runs in his 1 1/3 innings against the Reds on Sunday.
Dobnak’s debut with the Mariners started out ok with a scoreless first, but he allowed seven hits and five runs in the second inning. Seattle added a host of filler arms on minor league contracts, and Dobnak stands very little chance of making the M’s out of spring training. Results like this certainly won’t help.
  • TEX Pitcher #1
MacKenzie Gore allowed two runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings Sunday against the Rockies.
It was Gore’s first start wearing a Rangers’ uniform, and fortunately, it’s an exhibition battle. The southpaw gave up a pair of run-scoring singles in the second inning before exiting. Gore’s fantasy value certainly ticked up after the deal from Washington this winter, and while he’s not likely to be an ace, there’s a good chance he’s a solid fantasy option in 2026.
  • PIT Outfield #10
Bryan Reynolds finished 3-for-3 with a double as a Pirates split-squad beat the Rays 7-4 on Sunday.
Reynolds didn’t have any runs or RBI, though, as he was removed for a pinch-runner before Tony Blanco Jr. came around to score in his place in the fifth. Reynolds might be a little underrated for fantasy purposes at this point, in part because he’ll have an improved supporting cast this year. He definitely figures to top last year’s marks of 68 runs scored and 73 RBI in 654 plate appearances.
  • PIT Pitcher #23
Mitch Keller worked a pair of scoreless innings and struck out two Sunday against the Rays.
Keller’s velocity was pretty much at his 2025 norms, and he went without allowing a hard-hit ball today. He’s been pretty much written off as a mixed-league starter at this point, and there are some good reasons for that. Still, his ballpark is favorable and he’s due some more offensive support this year; if he could get his strikeout rate back up, he wouldn’t be hopeless.
  • TB Relief Pitcher #22
Griffin Jax struck out three of the four batters he faced Sunday against the Pirates.
Jax did give up a single to Jhostynxon Garcia along the way. Still, that’s an excellent spring debut for someone who should be the leading candidate for saves in Tampa Bay. He’s one of our favorite RP picks this year.
