Trevor Rogers worked seven innings and allowed just one run, but he didn’t factor into the decision against the Mariners on Wednesday.
Rogers was once again sensational, and he blanked the Mariners over six innings before giving up a triple to Julio Rodríguez and an RBI single to Josh Naylor in the seventh. The southpaw didn’t issue a walk and struck out six, and his ERA is a sparkling 1.43 in a no-too-small sample of 63 1/3 innings. It’s understandable if people are skeptical, but Rogers should absolutely be in fantasy lineups next week against the Red Sox.
