Making his first start since May 30, Jeremiah Jackson homered in the second of his two at-bats before being lifted for a pinch-hitter Sunday against the Padres.
Jackson’s homer gave the Orioles their lone run off Walker Buehler. He was then replaced in the sixth by Jackson Holliday, who struck out in both of his at-bats. Jeremiah Jackson spent the first seven weeks of the season playing pretty regularly for the Orioles, but he started to slump in May and he’s since taken a backseat to Holliday, Coby Mayo and Blaze Alexander. Although he is now 4-for-8 in his first very limited action this month, he or Mayo might be sent down when Dylan Beavers comes off the IL.
