  • BAL 3rd Baseman #26

Orioles designated INF Emmanuel Rivera for assignment.
There’s no room for Rivera within Baltimore’s infield mix with Jordan Westburg back from the injured list. The 29-year-old third baseman figures to pass through waivers unclaimed and get a head start on free agency.
  • AZ Catcher #66

Diamondbacks designated C Aramis Garcia for assignment.
The 33-year-old will likely return to Triple-A Reno if he clears waivers. Garcia served as an emergency depth piece while James McCann was out. The Diamondbacks appear to think they can get by with Adrian Del Castillo as their backup catcher in the short term.
'Fire up' Skubal after quick recovery from injury
Returning from a remarkably quick recovery timeline, Tarik Skubal takes the mound once again this weekend. James Schiano shares what fantasy managers should expect from one of the game's true aces.
  • PHI Right Fielder #39
Phillies placed OF Steward Berroa on the paternity list.
Congrats to Berroa on his new job. The Phillies will get by with a different bench outfielder for the time being.
  • PHI Right Fielder #85
Phillies recalled OF Gabriel Rincones Jr. from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Rincones has hit just .215/.344/.291 between three Phillies affiliates this year after injuring his knee during the offseason. He was just activated off rehab assignment on May 26. This feels aggressive, and Rincones may only play against left-handers, but the Phillies will see if they can find lightning in a bottle here. Rincones doesn’t need to be a priority fantasy baseball pickup.
  • PHI Right Fielder #53
Phillies placed OF Adolis García on the 60-day injured list with a right latissimus dorsi tear.
The instant elevation to the 60-day IL means we won’t see García again until the later stages of the season, if at all. He hit .195/.270/.329 with seven homers and three stolen bases for the Phillies in 259 plate appearances. Derek Hill’s acquisition seemed to signal that García was due for an IL stint, but the long-term nature of it means Hill will likely carry his role for most of the rest of the season.
  • HOU Shortstop #72
Astros selected the contract of INF Raynel Delgado from Triple-A Sugar Land.
Delgado hit .250/.320/.362 at Triple-A Durham before being dealt to the Astros a few days ago. He’ll be a bench infielder in the bigs. If he ever does get a real role, the 24 stolen bases he had point to the fact that he could be an interesting one-category fantasy contributor.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #51
Astros designated RHP Ryan Weiss for assignment.
Weiss had already been sent down in May after a rough major-league debut, and with a 8.41 ERA in five starts for Triple-A Sugar Land, the Astros are probably safe in believing there’s no interest in him on waivers.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #35
Garrett Crochet (shoulder/lat) told reporters that he’s getting close to throwing but that he doesn’t expect to be back before the All-Star break.
Crochet added that his lat is better now and he has been focusing on re-strengthening his shoulder, and that he doesn’t know when he might actually start throwing. This update doesn’t do much for the timeline beyond clarifying that it likely won’t be before the All-Star break. The fantasy baseball ace has been out since late April with the initial shoulder injury, but at least it seems like the lat is done interfering with his rehab.
  • TOR Relief Pitcher #29
Blue Jays sent RHP Yariel Rodriguez outright to Triple-A Buffalo.
He cleared waivers — as expected, nobody was touching the remaining $21.3 million of his contract — but may still elect to become a free agent. It’s worth noting he did clear waivers and return to the Jays last offseason. Rodriguez had a 7.71 ERA and 2.04 WHIP across 9 1/3 innings pitched with the Jays this year.
  • TOR Catcher #55
Blue Jays designated C Tyler Heineman for assignment.
He lost his spot on the active roster to Brandon Valenzuela, who pretty cleanly outplayed the 34-year-old veteran. It’s possible he’ll draw interest on waivers because of how he performed in 2025, but Heineman was hitting just .154/.205/.205 in 87 plate appearances this year.
  • TOR Left Fielder #36
Blue Jays recalled OF Davis Schneider from Triple-A Buffalo.
Schneider takes Daulton Varsho’s roster spot and figures to play against left-handed pitchers again. He was hitting just .127 when he was sent down in late May. Schneider hit .188/.550/.219 in 60 plate appearances with Buffalo, which seems ... really hard to do ... but isn’t out of line with what he was doing in the big leagues.
