Blue Jays optioned RHP Paxton Schultz to the FCL Blue Jays.

Schultz was just recalled yesterday and pitched a scoreless inning last night. He’s likely done for the regular season with a 4.38 ERA and a solid 28/8 K/BB in 24 2/3 innings.

Yankees acquired OF Heliot Ramos from the Giants for LHP Henry Lalane and INF Kaeden Kent.

Ramos makes a ton of sense for the Yankees as a temporary stopgap while both Aaron Judge (rib) and Cody Bellinger (hamstring) are on the injured list, but he could wind up getting squeezed into a platoon role once they’re back. The 26-year-old corner outfielder has just nine round-trippers in 74 games this season after reaching the 20-homer plateau in each of the previous two years. He should benefit from leaving Oracle Park’s pitcher-friendly dimensions behind in favor of Yankee Stadium.

Nationals acquired LHP Josh Hartle from the Guardians in a five-player trade.

Hartle was previous acquired by the Guardians in the 2024 deal that sent the Pirates Spencer Horwitz. The 6-foot-6 southpaw has forged a 3.86 ERA over 19 starts with Double-A Akron while posting a K/BB ratio of 88/37 in 93 1/3 innings. The southpaw projects as a backend starter at the next level, but Washington will hope to untap more from a player that doesn’t turn 24 until the end of March.

Giants acquired LHP Henry Lalane and INF Kaeden Kent from the Yankees for OF Heliot Ramos.

It’s not a bad return for San Francisco as they pivot towards more of a long-tern rebuilding project. Lalane was one of the hottest pitching prospects in baseball last month as he’s looked like an impactful starter again following a couple injury-marred seasons. He’s a worthwhile gamble for the Giants considering how starved they are for pitching in the minors.

Guardians acquired LHP Foster Griffin from the Nationals in exchange for LHP Will Dion, LHP Josh Hartle, RHP Kendeglys Virguez and OF Nick Mitchell.

Griffin has been outstanding in his return to MLB action with a 3.06 ERA and 116/30 K/BB across 129 1/3 innings, but the Nationals will aim to sell high and move the southpaw. The Guardians will hope he can keep it up, and fantasy managers who play in AL-only leagues should be looking to take a flyer on Griffin for the remainder of 2026. There’s some risk here, but there’s a decent enough sample of quality hurling to believe he can be an effective option for the final two months.

Rays acquired RHP Tyler Wells from the Orioles for RHP Michael Forret.

Wells bolsters Tampa Bay’s relief depth heading into the home stretch after thriving as a full-time reliever with the division-rival Orioles this season, posting a solid 2.67 ERA across 54 innings of work. He’s an interesting pickup for the Rays, who have had plenty of success with turning unheralded names into elite relievers in the recent past.

Orioles acquired RHP Michael Forret from the Rays for RHP Tyler Wells.

Forret heads back to Baltimore after being sent to Tampa Bay a couple months earlier in the Shane Baz trade. Clearly, the Orioles felt comfortable bringing him back in exchange for Well, who has found success since converting to a full-time reliever.

Rays acquired OF Jack Suwinski from the Dodgers for C Hunter Feduccia.

The textbook definition of a zero-risk reclamation project, the Rays are willing to roll the dice on Suwinski after getting catcher Liam Hicks from the Marlins, which made Feduccia expendable. The 28-year-old outfielder is just just a couple years removed from a 26-homer campaign at the highest level.

Dodgers acquired C Hunter Feduccia from the Rays for OF Jack Suwinski.

A little additional catching depth can’t hurt, right? The Dodgers are dealing with some razor-thin margins at the position while Will Smith works his way back from a neck injury. Dalton Rushing is also banged up at the moment. Feduccia began his career in Los Angeles and broke into the majors with the Dodgers back in 2024. He’s merely a depth addition.
