The move is now official. De Los Santos will see time at first base for the Marlins with Christopher Morel likely facing a multi-week absence with an oblique strain. The power-hitting 22-year-old’s fantasy stock tumbled last year when he managed just 12 homers in 106 games at the Triple-A level following a 40-homer campaign in the upper minors back in 2024. The massive over-the-fence power remains firmly intact but he’s going to strike out a fair amount, especially as he faces big-league arms for the first time. There’s enough power potential to make De Los Santos interesting in deeper mixed leagues, but a wait-and-see approach feels right in shallow mixers.

Fairbanks picked up the save in back-to-back games, so the 32-year-old will get a day of rest for the finale against Colorado. Anthony Bender or Calvin Faucher would likely get the ninth inning if a save opportunity is presented.

Ureña was optioned Sunday after a disastrous relief appearance against the Astros on Saturday. The 22-year-old will be a potential starting option if he pitches well in Salt Lake, but can be safely ignored in redraft leagues for now.

Rays manager Kevin Cash told reporters that Fraley picked up some soreness after attempting to make a diving catch during Saturday’s game against St. Louis. Cash also suggested that the injury isn’t believed to be serious, so for now, consider Fraley day-to-day.

No word yet as to why Fraley won’t be in the lineup, but he’ll sit to begin Sunday’s game against St. Louis with Jonny DeLuca taking his place in the lineup.

Honeywell was either given his walking papers or opted out of his minor league pact with the Giants, but either way, he’s now free to find a new organization to play for. The former top prospect is almost assuredly looking at another minor league contract with whatever organization deems him worthy.

Kirk will get a day of maintenance for the first Sunday — and likely many Sunday’s after — of the 2026 campaign. Tyler Heineman will get the start behind the plate and hit ninth in Kirk’s absence.

Abrams was away from the team due to a death in his family for Saturday’s game. Nasim Nuñez will get the start at second base after filling in at short for that contest, and Luis Garcia begins Sunday’s contest on the bench.

Estévez was rocked for six runs and blew Saturday’s save against Atlanta, and it’s very plausible that the ankle injury didn’t help. Royals manager Matt Quatraro hinted that Estévez likely wouldn’t be available, but if he is, also suggested that he would be used in a “lower-leverage” situation. Estévez’s velocity was down all spring, and fantasy managers need to pay close attention to this situation. Lucas Erceg would likely be next man up for closing games.

Mederos gets the boot from the 40-man roster with Shaun Anderson having his contract selected. The 24-year-old could see interest on the waiver wire, but if he goes unclaimed, he’ll likely remain in Triple-A Salt Lake.

Anderson gets the nod after the Angels’ bullpen gave up 11 runs in the loss to the Astros on Saturday. He’ll likely be a multi-inning option if Jack Kochanowicz isn’t able to go work deep Sunday.
