Blue Jays transferred OF Anthony Santander to the 60-day injured list.
The Jays needed to clear a couple of spots on their 40-man roster to add reinforcements to their bullpen on Sunday and moving Santander to the 60-day injured list was one way to accomplish that goal. We still haven’t received an official timeline from the Jays on when he may be able to return following surgery to repair a labral tear in his left shoulder, but he’ll miss the first couple of months of the season at a minimum.

Rays placed RHP Drew Rasmussen on the paternity list.
Rasmussen was expected to start Tuesday, but he’ll leave the team to take care of more important things than baseball. Mason Englert will instead get the start against the Cubs on Tuesday. Rasmussen should be back and start before the end of the week.
Rea an 'interesting' fantasy SP with Horton out
Eric Samulski shares why Cade Horton's forearm injury could be a "long-term" situation and examines what options fantasy managers have with the Cubs SP on the injured list.
  • COL Catcher #15
Hunter Goodman is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s affair against the Astros.
This will be the first off-day of the season for Goodman. The 26-year-old will get a break and Brett Sullivan will catch and hit eighth in Goodman’s absence.
  • BOS 3rd Baseman #5
Caleb Durbin is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s tilt against the Brewers.
Durbin will get a Tuesday off for the second straight week despite a two-hit game Monday against his former team. He’ll take a breather with Isiah Kiner-Falefa getting the start at third base and hitting ninth.
  • ATH Relief Pitcher #67
Athletics selected the contract of RHP Joel Kunel from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Kuhnel gets the call to replace Luis Morales on the A’s pitching staff, although he won’t fill his exact role with Kuhnel a bullpen arm and Morales a starter. It’s likely the 31-year-old will serve in the middle innings of the A’s relief corps while on the roster
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #53
Athletics transferred RHP Gunnar Hoglund from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.
Hoglund will be out now until at least the end of May while he recovers from his right knee sprain. The move opens a spot on the 40-man roster for Joel Kuhnel, and Kuhnel’s contract was selected in a corresponding transaction.
  • MIL Center Fielder #11
Jackson Chourio underwent follow-up imaging on his fractured hand.
Chourio is still estimated to return to the lineup for the Brew Crew near the end of April. The 22-year-old talent will likely need at least a handful of rehab games before being able to return, and when those games will take place will be largely determined by the results of said imaging.
  • AZ 1st Baseman #26
Diamondbacks selected the contract of INF Luken Baker from Triple-A Reno.
Baker is up with Carlos Santana hitting the injured list with an adductor strain. The former Cardinals prospect will likely see time at first base against southpaw pitchers, but won’t see enough run to suggest he’s worthy of a fantasy addition.
  • AZ 1st Baseman #41
Diamondbacks placed 1B Carlos Santana on the 10-day injured list with a strained right adductor.
Santana suffered the strain during Sunday’s game against Atlanta, and he’ll now miss at least a week-plus with the ailment. Luken Baker will replace Santana on the roster, and likely see some time at first base against left-handed pitching.
  • AZ Shortstop #10
Diamondbacks transferred OF Jordan Lawlar from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.
Lawlar is expected to miss at least two months after fracturing his right wrist, and the placement on the 60-day list opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for Luken Baker. The earliest Lawlar could return to the Arizona lineup is now June 3.
  • AZ 1st Baseman #41
Carlos Santana (groin) is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.
Santana was pulled from Sunday’s game versus Atlanta with tightness in his groin, and the 39-year-old will miss at least one more game. It’ll be Ildemaro Vargas handling first base with Santana out.
