Dezenzo missed time at the end of the 2025 season due to a right elbow sprain and then had a flare up of the same injury during the World Baseball Classic. He’s likely to require several weeks’ worth of at-bats on his rehab assignment before he’s an option to help out the Astros at the Major League level.

Prielipp gave up two hits, walked one and struck out five. He improved to 3-5 with the win. Prielipp spent the last two weeks on the IL with a blister on his pitching hand, but returned with an excellent start against the A’s on Sunday. He has a 4.73 ERA. Prielipp is lined up to face the Mariners on the road next weekend.

Massey’s home run was his eighth of the season. He hit a two-run shot off Tigers reliever Drew Sommers to put the Royals ahead 5-4 in the eighth inning. Massey had previously entered the game as a pinch hitter once left-hander Tigers starter Framber Valdez was out of the game. The Tigers had the matchup they wanted in the eighth inning with the left-handed Sommers on the mound, but Massey drilled a breaking ball deep into the right field seats. He’s hitting .274 with a .752 OPS and 36 RBI.

Thomas’ home run was his 10th of the season. He hit a solo shot off Framber Valdez to lead-off the game. Thomas’ home run was his first since July 18th against the Padres. He was 3-for-27 (.111) with 12 strikeouts, two walks, no home runs and two RBI in his last seven games entering play Sunday. Thomas is hitting .230 with a .727 OPS and 37 RBI this year.

James Wood also homered twice, giving the Nationals two of the league’s top eight homer leaders. Abrams paces the majors with 82 RBI, and he also ranks inside the top 15 in runs, steals, and batting average. It has been a monstrous breakout season for the shortstop, who finds himself in the middle of trade rumors heading into the August 3 deadline. Washington could simply hold on to him, however, which might be best for his fantasy value as part of the highest-scoring lineup in MLB. The club hasn’t had a 40-homer season since Bryce Harper in 2015, a total both Abrams and Wood could reach by the end of 2026.

Wood connected for a game-tying two-run blast in the fifth and later hit a solo shot in the eighth to give Washington some insurance. He’s up to 30 homers in 2026, which makes him the first National since Adam Dunn in 2009-2010 to do so in back-to-back seasons. CJ Abrams also homered twice, giving the Nats two of the top eight home run leaders in MLB. The franchise has only ever had two 40-homer campaigns, a mark both Wood and Abrams could reach this year.

Mikolas struck out two and walked one as the Nats went on to win 10-7. The right-hander has a 5.65 ERA this season and is well off the fantasy radar. He draws the Braves in Atlanta next time out.

Drake struck out one, walked two, and allowed two homers as Arizona went on to lose 10-7. He was making his second start with the big-league club this season, a tough assignment against the highest-scoring lineup in the league and on the road. Drake struggled at Triple-A this spring and is off the fantasy radar ahead of his next start in Cleveland.

Beeter allowed a hit and a walk but came through for his 10th save of the season. That mark leads the team, and he has four of the club’s five saves this month. It remains to be seen to what degree the Nationals will shake up their bullpen at the trade deadline, potentially limiting Beeter’s appeal despite his role on a dominant offensive team.

House started at third base and hit fifth in the first game since Curtis Mead was traded to the Red Sox. He opened the season in the majors but was demoted once Mead heated up and took over as the primary third baseman. House, a former top prospect, hit .301/.342/.500 at Triple-A. In a season in which the entire Nationals offense has seemingly taken steps forward, House appears positioned to show he can do the same over the final couple of months.
