Dietrich Enns (foot) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Saturday with Triple-A Norfolk.

Enns hit the injured list earlier this month following a scary-looking foot infection. The encouraging news here is that 34-year-old southpaw is doing better and should only need a handful of rehab outings to get back up to speed before returning to Baltimore’s relief mix.

Nathan Eovaldi (illness) is likely to pitch Sunday’s game against Atlanta.

Eovaldi is “feeling significantly better” after dealing with illness Friday. The 36-year-old should be good to go for that series finale, but fantasy managers should be prepared just in case, if possible.

Saturday’s game between the Yankees and Dodgers has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Because of the forecasted rain, the two clubs won’t take a chance of getting the game in. Instead, the two teams will play a doubleheader Sunday, beginning at 12:35 P.M. ET. Emmett Sheehan and Ryan Weathers — no pun intended — were the scheduled starters for Saturday’s game, and likely will pitch at some point Sunday in the twin billing.

Jeremy Peña exited Saturday’s game against the Orioles with an apparent injury.

It appears to be a right leg injury for Peña. The shortstop has been replaced by Nick Allen at shortstop. It’s likely that Peña will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the issue, but either way, further updates should be available shortly.

Orioles signed RHP Kyle Bradish to a five-year, $90 million contract extension.

Bradish hasn’t had his best season — in fact it’s been his worst by ERA at 3.61 since his rookie campaign — but it’s certainly understandable why Baltimore would want to wrap the 29-year-old up at a rate that makes sense for both parties. For his career, he owns a The right-hander will pitch at or near the top of the Baltimore rotation for the remainder of the decade, barring a trade, of course. He owns a career 3.50 ERA, 9.4 K/9 and 1.20 WHIP over his 465 career innings.

Dodgers re-signed LHP Charlie Browns to a minor league contract.

Barnes elected free agency, but he returned to the Dodgers’ organization Friday. The 30-year-old is expected to piggyback with Blake Snell on Saturday, with Snell making a rehab appearance in Oklahoma City.

Mason Montgomery is starting the second game of a doubleheader against the Guardians on Saturday.

It sounds like this will be a bullpen game, as Montgomery is not someone who is built up enough to go more than an inning or two. Fantasy managers looking to steal a win should look elsewhere, as it’s hard to fathom he’ll go the necessary number of innings to qualify.

Ryan Helsley (elbow) told reporters that he’ll have a longer rest time than his previous stint on the injured list.

“Just trying to make sure that it’s out of there,” Helsley said. “The only way, logically, is to give it a little bit more time.” Helsley missed almost exactly six weeks with his previous elbow injury in May, so it’s feasible this will be closer to an eight-week recovery — assuming everything goes well — this time around. That would put him back around the start of September.

Mariners activated OF Julio Rodríguez from the 7-day concussion injured list.

Rodríguez returns to Seattle’s lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Giants at T-Mobile Park after missing just over two weeks recovering from a concussion, but will begin his second half as the designated hitter, with Luke Raley handling center field. The 25-year-old franchise cornerstone was hitting .259/.323/.424 with 14 home runs, 40 RBI and 12 steals in 378 plate appearances across 87 games to open the season. His presence should provide an immediate lift for Seattle’s offense.

Mariners designated INF/OF Miles Mastrobuoni for assignment.

Mastrobuoni loses his spot on Seattle’s roster with Julio Rodríguez back from the concussion injured list for Saturday’s game against the Giants. The versatile 30-year-old hit just .192 (5-for-26) with zero homers or steals in 13 games after making his season debut back in early June.

Athletics designated 1B Joey Meneses for assignment.

Meneses hit .150 (3-for-20) with two RBI during a nine-game stint with the Athletics before they decided to give power-hitting prospect Tommy White a shot at first base instead while franchise cornerstone Nick Kurtz is on the shelf with a thumb sprain.
