Mike Trout drew three walks in a loss to the Padres on Sunday.
It’s the third time in four games that Trout has walked multiple times, and he’s already drawn 14 of them in 2026. The future Hall of Famer is only hitting .234, but he’s compensated with a .422 on-base percentage to pair with a .558 slugging percentage. It’s fun to see pitchers fearing Trout and the 34-year-old giving pitchers a reason to have said fear.

Brent Rooker went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer to power the Athletics to a 6-2 win over the Orioles on Saturday.
Rooker extended the A’s lead in the third inning with a three-run blast off Shane Baz. He later drew a walk in the fifth and knocked a base hit in the ninth. The 31-year-old slugger is coming around at the plate after a cold April and time missed with an oblique injury, with three home runs in May. He’s hitting .195/.273/.379 with five homers and 18 RBI across 99 plate appearances.

James Schiano discusses Shota Imanaga's performance against the Cincinnati Reds and how the pitcher has shaken off a rough end to the 2025 season.
  • ATH 1st Baseman #16
Nick Kurtz went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a walk against the Orioles on Saturday.
It took Kurtz just two pitches in the game to extend his on-base streak to 33 games, knocking a double off Shane Baz and coming around to score on a base hit. He drew a walk and scored in the third, then doubled and scored again in the fifth. The 23-year-old slugger is now just three games behind Nick Swisher’s 36 for the longest single-season on-base streak since 2000. He still has a way to go to reach Mark McGwire’s team record of 62 set in 1996.
  • ATH Starting Pitcher #45
Aaron Civale tossed five shutout innings with six strikeouts in a win over the Orioles on Saturday.
Civale was able to dodge trouble against the Orioles, holding them scoreless over five frames. He stranded six baserunners over four innings, then got out of a bases-loaded jam with no outs in the fifth to strand nine total runners. Civale tossed 62 of 97 pitches for strikes and struck out six batters. The 30-year-old right-hander will carry a 2.59 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 33/13 K/BB ratio across 41 2/3 innings into a start against the Giants in Sacramento on Friday.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #34
Shane Baz gave up five runs while striking out five batters over 4 2/3 innings in a loss against the Athletics on Saturday.
Baz surrendered a run in the first inning on a pair of hits. Brent Rooker later got to him for a three-run homer in the third. A double and a sacrifice fly made it five runs for the A’s in the fifth and ended Baz’s day with two outs at 100 pitches. He struck out five. The 26-year-old right-hander has posted a disappointing 5.48 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, and a 38/19 K/BB ratio across 44 1/3 innings. He’ll get a road matchup against the Nationals on Friday.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #7
Dodgers activated LHP Blake Snell from the injured list.
Brock Stewart went back on the IL with a foot injury as the corresponding move. Snell, who was on the IL with shoulder fatigue, will make his season debut tonight against the Braves. He’s bumping Roki Sasaki, but Sasaki is still going to start Monday against the Giants with Tyler Glasnow landing on the IL.
  • LAD Relief Pitcher #41
Dodgers placed RHP Brock Stewart on the injured list with a left foot bone spur.
Two appearances and then right back on the IL for the oft-injured Stewart. He came off the IL on Wednesday after spending the first six weeks rehabbing from shoulder surgery.
  • PHI 1st Baseman #3
Bryce Harper was removed from Saturday’s game in the first inning with a migraine, the Phillies said.
Felix Reyes replaced him after a half-inning in the field. Harper probably won’t miss any additional time with the ailment.
  • CIN 2nd Baseman #9
Matt McLain went 1-for-3 with two RBI to lead the Reds to a 3-1 win over the Astros on Saturday.
McLain helps the Reds break through on the scoreboard in the fifth inning with a two-run single to give Cincinnati the lead. The 26-year-old second baseman has not been able to capitalize on a hot spring, slashing .207/.311/.314 with three homers, 15 runs scored, 12 RBI, and five steals across 162 plate appearances.
  • HOU 2nd Baseman #28
Braden Shewmake went 1-for-3 with a solo homer against the Reds on Saturday.
Shewmake, starting at shortstop on Saturday with both Carlos Correa and Jeremy Peña sidelined, put the Astros on the board for their only run with a solo homer off Chase Burns in the fifth inning. The 28-year-old infielder’s time with the team could be limited with Jeremy Peña (hamstring) nearing a rehab assignment.
  • PHI 1st Baseman #3
Bryce Harper left Saturday’s game in the first inning with an apparent injury.
It might have been his left ankle, as he appeared to roll it while fielding a grounder in the top of the first. Felix Reyes hit for him prior to his first at-bat.
