Kyle Tucker is not in the lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Rockies.

Tucker, who went 3-for-5 with his third round-tripper of the season on Sunday, receives his first day off since April 5 with Colorado throwing veteran lefty Jose Quintana at Coors Field. Alex Call gets a chance to patrol right field in his place.

Jonatan Clase went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored to lead the Blue Jays to a 9-3 win over the Giants on Tuesday.

Clase put the Blue Jays on the board with a three-run homer off Trevor McDonald in the second inning. His first home run of the season just cleared the right-field wall. He later added a base hit and another run scored in the third. Tuesday marked Clase’s first start since he was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo a week ago.

Ernie Clement went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored against the Giants on Tuesday.

Clement singled in the first inning, then doubled in the second. He then brought a run in to score on a sacrifice fly in the third, part of a five-run inning for Toronto. Clement later knocked his third hit to lead off the ninth and scored on a groundout. The 30-year-old infielder is hitting .298/.319/.434 with seven homers, 39 runs scored, and 30 RBI across 354 plate appearances.

Spencer Miles allowed two runs with one strikeout over four innings in a no-decision against the Giants on Tuesday.

Miles got his first start since May 31 after pitching out of the bullpen over the last month. He went four innings against the Giants, giving up two runs on seven hits and no walks. He struck out one. Miles would depart after the fourth at 55 pitches. The 25-year-old right-hander holds a 2.95 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 56/17 K/BB ratio across 58 innings. He’ll likely revert to a long-relief role following the All-Star break with Max Scherzer nearing a return.

Trevor McDonald allowed eight runs over 2 1/3 innings in a loss against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

After a scoreless first inning, McDonald surrendered a three-run homer to Jonathan Clase in the second. Five hits in the third inning would bring five more runs across and chase McDonald from the game with two outs at 58 pitches. He failed to record a strikeout. The 25-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 5.31 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and a 50/20 K/BB ratio across 59 1/3 innings.

Ceddanne Rafaela went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer as the Red Sox topped the White Sox 8-1 on Tuesday.

Rafaela has an even better case for an All-Star spot this year than he did last year, when he didn’t really warm up offensively until June, but since his Gold Glove defense in center just isn’t given enough weight, he’s still looking to be selected for the first time. Maybe he’ll get in as a replacement for Aaron Judge or Byron Buxton. He’s hitting .284/.332/.441, so it’s not all about defense.

Payton Tolle allowed two hits through six scoreless innings Tuesday in a win over the White Sox.

Both hits were singles from Sam Antonacci. Tolle was fortunate, though, that this one wasn’t in Fenway or Junior Perez’s 322-foot fly down the left field line would have snuck in for a homer past the Pesky Pole. It’s Tolle’s third scoreless start of the year, and it follows his worst showing, as he gave up six runs in three innings versus the Nationals last Wednesday. He’s 5-6 with a 3.14 ERA ahead of his final start of the first half versus the Mets.

Noah Schultz yielded four runs in five innings Tuesday in a loss to the Red Sox.

Andruw Monasterio and Ceddanne Rafaela homered off him in a three-run second. Schultz gave up five other hits and walked three before departing. He’s been ineffective in both starts since coming off the IL, leaving him 2-5 with a 6.00 ERA overall, but he’ll probably retain his spot for now and face the A’s on Sunday.

Seranthony Domínguez pitched a scoreless sixth with the White Sox down 4-0 to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

The scoreless inning is good, but it sure doesn’t seem like Domínguez is going to be in line for saves again any time soon. Since blowing back-to-back save chances on June 21-22, he’s been limited to just three appearances, two coming in the sixth and one in the seventh. Grant Taylor is the White Sox reliever worth rostering at the moment.

Sam Antonacci was responsible for three of the White Sox’s four hits in Tuesday’s 8-1 loss to the Red Sox.

He also stole his 12th base of the year. Because they were facing Payton Tolle tonight, the White Sox had Antonacci batting fifth instead of his usual first. All three of Antonacci’s hits came off of lefties — two off Tolle and one off Daniel Coulombe — but that still only makes him 10-for-50 with no extra-base hits and one walk against southpaws this year.

Jake Cronenworth went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Cronenworth put the Padres ahead early, taking Zac Gallen deep for a three-run blast in the first inning. They would prove to be the winning runs in the contest as neither team could bring another run in over the rest of the game. The 32-year-old infielder is hitting .183/.285/.270 with three homers, 15 runs scored, and 10 RBI across 145 plate appearances.
