Giants activated RHP Sam Hentges from the 15-day injured list.
Hentges has finally worked his way back from right knee and left shoulder surgeries that cost him the entire 2025 campaign. The Giants are hopeful that he can provide a major boost to a bullpen that has been a complete disaster this season.

Eduardo Rodriguez limited the Mets to one run and four hits in 8 1/3 innings in the Diamondbacks’ 5-1 victory Sunday.
Rodriguez, who had never had a complete game in 242 career starts, was supposed to be done after eight, but he talked manager Torey Lovullo into sending him back out. He just couldn’t do so for a second time after giving up a weak flyball single with one out in the ninth. It was just the fourth hit allowed by Rodriguez. He only had four strikeouts and six whiffs on 48 swings, but he obviously didn’t need them against the lineup the Mets are currently running out against lefties. At 4-0 with a 2.25 ERA on the season, he might seem like a reasonable pickup, but we still dislike the career-low 16.5 percent strikeout rate and the career-high 11 percent walk rate. He’ll face the Rockies in Coors next weekend.
Marlins throw Nats off with pressure on basepaths
Matt Vasgersian, Jeff Nelson and Kevin Frandsen share their biggest takeaways from the Marlins' 5-2 win over the Nationals, where Miami used pressure on the basepaths to fuel their Mother's Day win over Washington.

David Peterson allowed three runs, all of them unearned, over five innings of bulk relief Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
The runs came in the sixth after an Andy Ibáñez error got things started for Arizona. Peterson retired the next two batters, but he gave up three straight hits afterwards. It probably oversells how well he’s pitched, but Peterson has a 1.69 ERA in four appearances (16 innings) as a bulk reliever. He’s 0-4 with an 8.10 ERA in his five starts. He should face the Yankees next weekend.
  • AZ Left Fielder #73
Ryan Waldschmidt had a two-run double and an RBI single in his second big-league game Sunday against the Mets.
The double off Tobias Myers was a 102-mph shot that traveled 404 feet to center. Waldschmidt is off to a 3-for-8 start, though he has struck out four times already. He played left field today after starting in center on Saturday. Jorge Barrosa was in center today.
  • NYM 3rd Baseman #19
Bo Bichette went hitless in a fourth straight game Sunday versus the D-backs, finishing 0-for-3 with a walk.
Bichette was decent for a spell in the second half of April, but he’s back down to .222/.269/.290 now. This is the fifth four-game hitless streak of his career. His high is five in a row, which took place in July 2023.
  • MIN Center Fielder #25
Byron Buxton went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base, and a run scored as the Twins beat the Guardians 5-4 on Sunday.
Buxton is now up to 13 homers and three thefts on the year, with a .259/.313/.556 triple slash. He’s attempting steals at the second-lowest rate of his career so far, but he’s making up for it with a career-best barrel/PA rate. Most impressively, he’s played all but three of Minnesota’s games this year.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher #94
Yoendrys Gómez picked up his second save of 2026 on Sunday in Cleveland, needing just 10 pitches to toss a scoreless ninth in the 5-4 win.
It was his first save as a member of the Twins after recording one with the Rays this year. Minnesota has spread around their sparse ninth-inning chances, and Justin Topa is the only reliever with multiple saves. This is a fantasy situation to avoid if possible, given the committee and lack of total opportunities.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #32
Gavin Williams took the loss on Mother’s Day against the Twins, giving up five earned runs on 10 hits in six innings of work.
The right-hander struck out six and walked just one, increasing his ERA to 3.74 on the season. Minnesota had a .500 BABIP on the day against him, which will regress in future outings. His strikeout-to-walk ratio is more representative of his talent going forward, and he picked up 24 whiffs this afternoon, including 4+ on four separate pitches. Williams will carry the best K% of his career into a home start against the Reds this week.
  • MIN Shortstop #22
Brooks Lee went 2-for-3 with a steal, an RBI, and a run scored in Sunday’s win over the Guardians.
Lee has been the Twins’ everyday shortstop, but he also qualifies at second base and third base in most fantasy formats. He’s up to five homers and three stolen bases this year, plus a .276 average, 18 runs, and 24 RBI. The switch-hitter hasn’t made a batted-ball leap, but his consistent playing time and light power/speed combo are worth rostering in deeper leagues where you need infield help.
  • CLE Right Fielder #24
Chase DeLauter went 2-for-5 with two RBI in the Guardians’ loss to the Twins on Sunday.
DeLauter connected for an RBI single in the sixth and drove in a run on a groundout in the eighth. The rookie outfielder is up to 25 RBI on the year with more walks than strikeouts. He has just two home runs since the season’s opening weekend, but he continues to get on base and hit well atop Cleveland’s lineup.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #48
Jacob deGrom fanned 10 over seven innings and combined with Jacob Latz on a 3-0 shutout of the Cubs on Sunday.
He allowed only three hits, a double to Nico Hoerner and singles from Hoerner and Michael Busch, and walked none. It’s his 63rd career 10-strikeout game and 47th start of at least six scoreless innings. It also went as his 99th career win in 256 starts. DeGrom is 3-2 with a 2.62 ERA this season, and he’ll get the Astros next.
