Freddie Freeman doubled, walked four times, stole a base and scored three runs against the Brewers on Saturday.
It’s the third time in his career that Freeman has walked four times. Oddly enough, he also had a hit all three times. On July 27, 2019, he had the same line against the Phillies that he did tonight: a double, four walks and three runs scored. On June 17, 2024, he had a single and five walks, one of which was intentional, against the Rockies. Freeman is batting .265/.362/.449 in 213 plate appearances. His double tonight was the 561st of his career, moving him past Jeff Kent and Eddie Murray for sole possession of 30th place on the all-time list. Next up is Carlos Beltran at 565.

Byron Buxton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Rangers on Monday.
Twins and Diamondbacks meet in MLB Sunday Leadoff
MLB Sunday Leadoff features the Arizona Diamondbacks hosting the Minnesota Twins. Tune into NBC and Peacock at 3 P.M ET.
  • MIN Designated Hitter #56
Josh Bell went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run against the Rangers on Monday.
Bell’s home run was his eighth of the season. He hit a three-run shot off MacKenzie Gore in the first inning. Bell is hitting just .236, but he has 43 RBI. That still gives him some value in AL-Only formats and deeper mixed leagues.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #1
MacKenzie Gore allowed four runs in seven innings and took the loss against the Twins on Monday.
Gore gave up four hits, walked two and struck out 10. He fell to 4-6 with the loss. Gore gave up two home runs to the Twins, which hasn’t been his problem this year as he’s allowed only eight home runs in 78 innings. Gore walked two batters and one scored on Josh Bell’s three-run homer in the first inning. The 27-year-old left-hander has a 10 percent walk percentage, which would be the highest of his career since his rookie since in 2022. He’ll take a 4.27 ERA into his next start against the Padres on Sunday.
  • MIN Starting Pitcher
Mike Paredes allowed two runs in 4 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Twins’ 4-2 victory over the Rangers on Monday.
Paredes gave up four hits, walked none and struck out two. The 25-year-old right-hander was making just his second start and he hasn’t thrown more than 65 pitches in any of his four appearances for the Twins. That doesn’t give Paredes much of a pathway to fantasy value. He’s lined up to start again for the Twins against the Diamondbacks this weekend.
  • CIN Left Fielder #22
JJ Bleday went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run and four RBI against the Mets on Monday.
Bleday’s home run was his 13th of the year. He hit a three-run shot off David Peterson in the eighth inning. Bleday’s home run came with the game already out of reach, making a 9-0 lead 12-0. Still, Bleday has been a revelation for the Reds and fantasy managers this season. He’s hitting .272 with 34 RBI and a .953 OPS.
  • CIN Designated Hitter #28
Eugenio Suárez went 2-for-6 with two home runs and six RBI against the Mets on Monday.
Suárez’ two-homer game brings his total to seven this year. He hit a two-run shot off Tobias Myers in the first inning and a grand slam off Jonathan Pintaro in the second inning. After hitting 49 home runs with 118 RBI a year ago, it seems impossible that Suárez could have 25 RBI in 45 games, but here we are. His .222 average and .682 OPS haven’t helped, but Monday’s performance could be a sign that Suárez will rebound in the power department.
  • NYM Relief Pitcher #32
Tobias Myers allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Reds on Monday.
Myers gave up four hits, walked three and struck out one. He fell to 0-2 with a 5.71 ERA. Myers was put in a tough spot as he was recalled from Triple-A once Christian Scott (hip) was placed on the IL. Predictably, a road matchup against the Reds on short notice went poorly. Myers was already out of the game when Eugenio Suarez hit the grand slam to make it 9-0 with seven of the runs being Myers’ responsibility. He’s lined up to face the Phillies on the road this weekend, but Myers isn’t a recommended fantasy option at this point.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #26
Chase Burns threw five scoreless innings and got the win in the Reds’ 12-0 victory over the Mets on Monday.
Burns gave up four hits, walked three and struck out seven. He improved to 8-1 with the win. Burns had five of his strikeouts in the first two innings and then took the mound in the third inning with a 9-0 lead. He lowered his ERA to 2.01. Burns will face the Yankees on the road on Sunday in his next start.
  • STL Catcher #8
Jimmy Crooks hit a two-run double on Monday, lifting the Cardinals to a 3-0 win over the Padres.
Crooks got the start behind the plate in this one and put St. Louis ahead for good with a fourth-inning double into the left-center field gap. It wound up being more than enough run support for Cardinals starter Dustin May, who went the distance for his first career shutout.
  • STL Starting Pitcher #3
Dustin May recorded nine strikeouts in a complete-game, one-hit shutout against the Padres on Monday.
May retired 18 consecutive batters before issuing a leadoff walk to Fernando Tatis Jr. to open the seventh inning, ending his perfect-game bid. He lost the no-hitter two batters later when Manny Machado sliced a one-out single into left field. He managed to complete eight innings on just 93 pitches and got the nod to return for the final frame, managing to set down Sung-Mun Song, Rodolfo Durán and Fernando Tatis Jr. on eight pitches to complete the shutout. He’s allowed three earned runs or fewer in four consecutive starts since May 27, lowering his ERA from 4.57 to 3.75 in the process. He’ll wrap up a two-start week with a home tilt against the Royals on Sunday.
