POINT GUARD
Dennis Smith Jr. – New York (at Cleveland)
Smith is finally getting a chance to display his full skill set in New York. That has translated to a strong 39 FPPG average over his past three games. Consider that his baseline in a promising draw against Cleveland – who ranks 29th in defensive efficiency to point guards. The salary is starting to climb for “DSJ”, but I still believe he’s underpriced when considering the expanded role for his new team. Go ahead and target him through all formats on FanDuel and DraftKings.
Also Consider: Eric Bledsoe, Collin Sexton
SHOOTING GUARD
Andrew Wiggins – Minnesota (vs LA Clippers)
Wiggins has pieced together two straight remarkable showings of 50+ fantasy points. It’s nice to see him contributing across the board with 20+ points and 9+ rebounds in each of those games. He’ll get a chance to keep the heater alive while facing a Clippers’ team that ranks eighth in pace and 21st in team defensive efficiency. The only caveat comes from his questionable status with an illness. Definitely keep an eye on that situation, and potentially look towards Josh Okogie if Wiggins can’t go.
Also Consider: Jordan Clarkson, Chasson Randle
SMALL FORWARD
Jabari Parker – Washington (at Detroit)
Parker is only $3,900 on FanDuel, where he’s probably the most obvious play of the day. Even the $5,600 tag seems too low when considering Parker’s 40+ fantasy points in back-to-back games since joining the Wizards. His fantasy prospects become even better if Jeff Green (questionable) is out, but I’ll be targeting Parker either way.
Also Consider: Danilo Gallinari, Bojan Bogdanovic
POWER FORWARD
Larry Nance Jr. – Cleveland (vs New York)
Kevin Love is back in the mix, but he’ll likely have restricted minutes tonight. That means Larry Nance Jr. should keep seeing respectable playing time in this beautiful matchup. His opponent, the Knicks, rank 29th in defensive efficiency to opposing power forwards, adding confidence to Nance’s DFS prospects. He has posted 38+ fantasy points in three of his past four, and that’s a realistic expectation in this encouraging draw.
Also Consider: Blake Griffin, Bobby Portis
CENTER
Mason Plumlee – Denver (vs Miami)
Keep your eye on Paul Millsap’s (questionable) status. If he continues to miss time, Plumlee will benefit from a full workload yet again. The Denver forward has translated that role into a strong 36 FPPG average over his past three. He’s still underpriced despite that recent surge, and the matchup looks good against a Miami team that ranks 24th in defensive efficiency to power forwards.
Also Consider: Karl-Anthony Towns, Ivica Zubac
