POINT GUARD

Jordan Poole – Golden State (at San Antonio) - DK: $8,000 / FD: $7,900 / Yahoo: $35

Price is no object on this slate. You can pretty much do whatever you want. Starting with Poole is my choice, thanks to the Warriors being motivated to stay ahead of Dallas in the Western Conference standings, and the favorable matchup with the Spurs. San Antonio is resting everyone tonight, and it should be easy for Poole to achieve his consistent 40-ish fantasy points or more. The game should still be fast-paced and high scoring, and Vegas only has the Warriors favored by 5.5 points right now.

Also Consider: Tre Jones, Davion Mitchell, CJ McCollum, Jose Alvarado

SHOOTING GUARD

Paul George – LA Clippers (vs. Sacramento) - DK: $9,300 / FD: $9,000 / Yahoo: $40

George is the only real high-priced option and should be 100 percent rostered if he plays tonight. Just do it, as they say. The Kings are overall the fourth-best fantasy matchup, ranking 27th in defensive rating and 28th in rebounding (not that the Clippers are any better in that category but still). George has showed some range in his four games back, scoring between 33 and 58 fantasy points per game, but the Clippers won three of those and all were against playoff teams. I expect George to be somewhat limited in minutes to around 30 minutes tonight, but he can approach 50 fantasy points in this favorable matchup and there is zero reason to fade him at this point.

Also Consider: Lonnie Walker, Desmond Bane

SMALL FORWARD

Josh Richardson – San Antonio (vs. Golden State) - DK: $4,600 / FD: $4,700 / Yahoo: $12

You could spend more here, but with everyone resting for the Spurs, Richardson looks like a great play regardless of his low salary. In the past couple weeks especially, Richardson has been reliably putting up 25-30 fantasy points per game, and his season average vs. the Warriors is seven more fantasy points that his overall average. The position isn’t super-inspiring tonight, but I feel good about Richardson’s floor/ceiling combination tonight.

Also Consider: Andrew Wiggins, Terance Mann, Herbert Jones

POWER FORWARD

Zach Collins – San Antonio (vs. Golden State) - DK: $4,500 / FD: $5,000 / Yahoo: $14

With Poeltl and Keldon Johnson sitting out tonight, Collins has a great shot at getting back to 40 fantasy points. You don’t have to save here, but I expect Collins to play heavy minutes in a faster-paced and higher-scoring game. Collins has scored in double-digits in four consecutive games, with a smattering of various peripherals to boost his stat lines. Golden State does turn the ball over at the league’s second-highest rate, which could translate to some fantasy-friendly steals for the Spurs’ forward.

Also Consider: Jaren Jackson Jr., Larry Nance, Draymond Green, Robert Covington

CENTER

Damian Jones – Sacramento (at LA Clippers) - DK: $5,900 / FD: $6,300 / Yahoo: $18

It’s pretty easy to fit both Jones and Zubac tonight and that’s a strategy I’m taking on Yahoo and DraftKings. Both of these teams rank near the bottom of the league in rebounding, making them favorable matchups for each other. Valanciunas has been taking it easy, which has made Hernangomez a nice value play, but that remains a somewhat risky time split, and Memphis is the league’s best rebounding team. Jones has quite a range of outcomes, but anything in the 30-50 fantasy points range is good for his salary.

Also Consider: Ivica Zubac, Jonas Valanciunas, Guillermo Hernangomez

Additional Notes

Ivica Zubac (C– LAC) One might have expected Zubac’ uninspiring numbers to go even lower when Paul George returned, but instead they’ve improved. He’s been over 32 fantasy points with double-doubles in each of the Clippers’ last two games, and as noted a few times already, this is a great spot to see that continue. His minutes are not sky high, but his efficiency has been.
