With Seattle transitioning to a six-man piggyback rotation schedule through next month’s All-Star break it doesn’t seem like Anderson, the consensus top pitching prospect in baseball, will factor into the club’s plans until later this summer. The 21-year-old, who was selected third overall in last year’s draft, has reeled off 27 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings and holds a microscopic 1.02 ERA across 61 2/3 innings through 12 starts at the Double-A level. He’s put together one of the most impressive professional debuts in recent memory. He’ll arrive in the majors at some point later this season and should make an immediate fantasy impact. Anderson is worth stashing away in all fantasy formats until further notice.

The injury was originally announced as left hip discomfort, but it has since moved down a bit. If Soroka joins Ryne Nelson on the IL for the D-backs, then Brandon Pfaadt figures to get a rotation spot a little earlier than anticipated.

Lawlar just can’t seem to stay healthy for any length of time. He had two hits before being lifted for a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning Friday. If he needs to return to the IL, the D-backs could bring Ryan Waldschmidt back to the majors.

The Athletics trailed this game 11-4 at one point, but they scored two runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth — along with one in the sixth — to tie it up. With the bases loaded, Kurtz laid off a Samy Natara Jr. offering to give the A’s the walk-off win. Kurtz has driven in 58 runs to go with an outstanding slash of .287/.436/.544 with just five games left for the A’s until the halfway point.

Rushing only gets credit for one RBI, because the second run scored on a throwing error by Tyler O’Neill. Rushing probably doesn’t care too much. It helps make up for what was an ugly game for the backstop prior to that knock, as he went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in his previous three at-bats. Again, he probably doesn’t care. Rushing has been excellent for the majority of 2026 as seen in his .262/.351/.500 slash.

Carroll needed “just” a homer for the cycle, as he also singled with a walk for good measure. The 25-year-old already has nine three-baggers on the season, and a 20-triple campaign can’t be ruled out; it’s right around what he’s on pace for. The double was his 16th, and the four runs driven in bring his total to 42. He’s having a good year, is what we’re saying.

Caglianone is heating up. His fourth inning single put his Royals on the board and helped to set up what would become a four-run inning. Then, he homered in his next at-bat on a ball that he hit 110.5 mph that traveled 404 feet. That was his 10th long ball of the season, second in his last two games, and fifth already in June. Over his last 15 games, he has a .306/.374/.514 slash line as it looks like his breakout is finally happening.

This was absolutely and unquestionably Imai’s best start as a big leaguer. His famous backwards slider was diabolical, forcing 17 swings-and-misses while working firmly as his primary pitch. He commanded it excellently both low and below the zone as well as fading away from the Guardians’ left-handed hitters. Most impressively, Imai had let up three runs before the third inning was over and it looked like this was going to turn into yet another start that went off the rails. However, he composed himself and dominated from that point on retiring the final 11 batters he faced. So far, his two-pitch approach hasn’t fared particularly well and we must remember that this Guardians’ lineup sans José Ramírez and a handful of other starts is one of the weakest in the league. Still, that slider looks like it can truly carry him when it’s on like it was tonight. He’s scheduled to face the Blue Jays in Toronto next time out.

France broke things open for the Padres in the top of the first inning when he took Jacob deGrom 384 feet to deep right center for his first career grand slam, giving the Padres a 5-0 lead. It was just the seventh homer of the season for France, who was just getting started. In the fourth inning, the righty would blast a solo homer off deGrom to tie the game at 6-6. France is slashing just .190/.277/.381 on the month, taking a drastic step back from the .286/.318/.533 line he entered the June with. He’s seeing plenty of playing time could still be worth a look in deeper leagues if he can get things going again.

Making the start on his 38th birthday, deGrom got off to a rough start in this one. He walked Fernando Tatis Jr. to start the inning and followed that up with a single to Samad Taylor. He would retire the next two batters he faced via strikeout, but would surrender an RBI single to Gavin Sheets. DeGrom would walk Xander Bogaerts in the following at-bat, and then gave up a grand slam to Ty France to put the Rangers in a 5-0 deficit before they even had a chance to swing the bats. It was the first time in deGrom’s career that he allowed five or more runs in an inning, but aside from another solo homer to France in the fourth inning, he would bounce back nicely to throw five strong innings after his disastrous first frame. It’s the third time this season that deGrom has allowed six earned runs in a start, but he continues to have a respectable 3.59 ERA and has been more solid than not thus far. He’ll look to pick up his seventh win of the season in his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday in Miami.
