Colts EDGE Laiatu Latu (chest) left Indianapolis’ Week 3 game against the Texans and is questionable to return.

Latu tried to return briefly after suffering the injury, but went into the locker room. It seems unlikely he’ll return. A pectoral injury is probably the main concern at this point.

Latu sat out in Week 2 and managed just one quarterback pressure in Week 1. He’ll attempt to get back on track against a Titans offensive line missing OT JC Latham (hip). Colts CB (concussion) is questionable to play despite practicing in full all week.

It’s an upgrade from Wednesday’s limited session and Latu would seem likely to play against the Titans in Week 3. Every Colts EDGE player will want a chance at Cam Ward, who has been sacked 11 times in two starts so far. CB Charvarius Ward (concussion) also practiced in full. Both players have a chance at not being on the team’s final injury report at this rate.
  • IND Cornerback #7
Ward did not practice last week because of his concussion and was ruled out on Friday. A return on Wednesday puts him in line to suit up for Week 3, but the veteran corner will still need to clear the league’s concussion protocol before being given the green light. Fellow Indy defender Laiatu Latu was also spotted at practice. The second-year EDGE missed Week 2 with a hamstring injury. Getting both players back for Week 3 would be a big win for a Colts defense that just gave up 28 points to the Broncos.
  • IND Defensive End #97
Latu is sidelined by a hamstring injury and Ward failed to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol. Both absences should make life easier on the Broncos’ passing offense. Goodson is rehabbing an elbow injury that kept him sidelined in Week 1. He practiced in a limited capacity on Wednesday and Thursday before practicing in full on Friday, which seemingly put him on track to play. His inactive status suggests rookie RB DJ Giddens has already sewn up the No. 2 running back role behind Jonathan Taylor.

The Colts are now down a starting corner in Charvarius Ward and a starting EDGE in Latu. Indy’s first-round pick from 2024, Latu had a quiet rookie season but was already making his presence felt this year with an intercpetion in Week 1. Bo Nix struggled in Week 1 despite the Broncos coming away with the win. He should fare better against the banged-up Colts defense later today.
  • IND Cornerback #7
Fellow cornerback Jaylon Jones has also been ruled out. EDGE Laiatu Latu is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. The Colts shut down the Dolphins in Week 1 but will now be at least slightly undermanned on defense. They are hosting the Broncos this week as Denver looks for a bounce-back after a sluggish win over the Titans. Bo Nix remains in the QB1 ranks for now, but another shaky outing could have him outside of the top 12 for Week 3.
  • IND Defensive End #97
Beware the mid-week downgrade. Latu got a limited session in on Wednesday. Latu was the highest-graded Colts defensive player per PFF in Week 1, notching a 91.5 grade despite no sacks and just one hurry. His absence would be felt by the Colts as they try to hold down Bo Nix and the Broncos in Week 2.
  • IND Defensive End #97
Latu’s chances of suiting up this week are unfortunately decreasing. The Colts pass rush also lost DL DeForest Buckner (back/ankle) to injured reserve this week, notably weakening the unit. The news bodes positively for Bears QB Caleb Williams.
  • IND Defensive End #97
Latu is dealing with a hip injury he sustained in Week 2 against the Packers. The Colts defense, one of the worst in the NFL in the early season, can ill afford to lose Latu, the 15th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Colts take on the Bears in Week 3.
  • Latu was a two-time National Champion on the rugby pitch in high school and was rated as the fourth-best defensive end from the 2019 recruiting class. He originally enrolled at Washington, where he sustained a neck injury that caused him to miss two seasons before getting medically cleared to play and transferring to UCLA prior to the 2022 campaign. Despite the extended time off, Latu wasted little time annihilating Pac-12 offensive lines for 65 pressures, 10.5 sacks and a 91st % pass rush grade (5th in P5) while winning the College Football Comeback Player of the Year award. Latu’s play ascended further last year, as he led the entire edge position with a 94.3 pass rush grade and 96th percentile overall grade with 13.0 sacks. His 26% win rate and 13.3% pressure rate were also tops nationally, as Latu solidified himself as the premier pure pass rusher from the 2024 class. Though he recorded 33 stops and an 82.1 run defense grade, his 24% missed tackle rate underscores Latu’s limitations in run support. Latu measured in at 6’5, 259 pounds and ran an impressive 4.64s 40-yard dash (94th%) with a 7.09s 3-Cone (85th%) and 4.34 shuttle run (83rd%). He didn’t bench and put up a pedestrian 32” vert (55th%), but Latu’s overall athletic profile adds up to a strong 9.37 RAS. Despite some limitations standing up to mammoth OTs in run support, he’s fast enough to consistently beat OL to the leverage point on run plays. His elite great testing at the combine was undoubtedly a draw for the Colts, who put a lot of stock in athleticism when constructing their draft board.

Bills coach Joe Brady said WR Keon Coleman (ankle) “should be good to play” for Buffalo’s Week 4 game against the Patriots.

Bills coach Joe Brady said CB Christian Benford (toe) is questionable for Buffalo’s Week 4 game against the Patriots.

Despite the questionable listing, Benford did not appear in the media portion of practice on Friday. At best, he’ll be listed as limited later today. Benford seems to be on the pessimistic side of questionable for Week 4.

Ravens DL Trey Hendrickson (finger) underwent surgery and will not play in Baltimore’s Week 4 game against the Titans.

Jesse Minter announced the news and did not provide a timetable for a return. Hendrickson had played through the ailment in Weeks 2 and 3. It’s plausible that he’s back in Week 5 assuming this wasn’t a major procedure, and if he was going to miss one game, the Titans game would be the one to miss.

Justin Jefferson (ankle) was not spotted at Friday’s practice.

Jefferson has not practiced this week and will likely be ruled out for Week 4’s game in the near future. While his injury is not believed to be serious, the Vikings would likely prefer not to risk further injury in a home game against the Dolphins that they can win without him. We’ll check back in with an update once head coach Kevin O’Connell has a chance to speak with media, but there’s a good chance Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings will serve as the Vikings’ top two receivers this week.

Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) will not play in New England’s Week 4 game against the Bills.

Gonzalez did not practice at any point this week after popping up on the injury report Wednesday; his status seems to be in doubt for Week 5 at this point as well. The Patriots also ruled out DT Christian Barmore. They’ll be without their best coverage player against the Bills, elevating the matchup for D.J. Moore.

Rachaad White (shoulder) will not play in Washington’s Week 4 game against the Colts.

He didn’t practice at any point this week after suffering a shoulder injury in Week 3. He has to be considered questionable for Week 5 at this point. ‘Bill’ Croskey-Merritt figures to shoulder the majority of the workload for the Commanders this week and is a reasonable FLEX play against the Colts. Freshly-signed Austin Ekeler figures to handle third-down work.

Terry McLaurin (hamstring) is questionable for Washington’s Week 4 game against the Colts.

He was, grimly, a late add to the injury report on Friday with a hamstring issue. We’re sure will get more on this as the day goes on, but McLaurin-reliant managers should make sure to have a backup plan in place ahead of Sunday morning’s first European football game of the season.

Caleb Williams (hamstring) will not play in Week 4 against the Jets.

Williams was never believed to have a real shot at playing, but the Bears officially ruled him out on Friday. Tyson Bagent has reportedly taken all of the first-team snaps in practice this week, but Ben Johnson may wait until kickoff to reveal who his starter will be on Sunday, with both Bagent and Case Keenum expected to be active. We’ll see if Williams’ status improves for Week 5’s game against the Packers.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson said he is optimistic that D’Andre Swift (knee) will play in Week 4 against the Jets.

Swift popped up as a DNP on Thursday’s injury report, but Johnson said his RB1 will practice on Friday. We’ll see where things go from here, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Swift drew a questionable designation entering the weekend. Swift has rushed 54 times for 253 yards and three touchdowns this season while also catching eight passes for 68 scoreless yards. If he is unable to play in Week 4, Kyle Monangai would be firmly on the fantasy radar as a strong RB2.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Browns DT Mason Graham will miss a few weeks with an MCL sprain and an ankle sprain.

“The MRI revealed some good news,” per Rapoport, who added that the hope is these are not long-term injuries for the second-year lineman. While Graham does have two injuries he will need to work his way back from, it’s fair to say this is an encouraging sign after he was seen on crutches and sporting a knee brace after Week 4’s win over the Steelers. If Graham is placed on injured reserve, he would be required to miss at least the next four games. He has totaled 15 tackles, six TFLs, and four sacks thus far for the Browns in what is shaping up to be a breakout season for the former No. 5 overall pick.
