Marvin Harrison caught 1-of-4 targets for six yards and a touchdown in Houston’s Week 7 loss to the Giants.

Harrison had to come back to the ball in the end zone, one that was placed to his back shoulder by C.J. Stroud to fit it around a zone defender. That was the good. Harrison also added an egregious drop while playing just 13 snaps. Your guess is as good as ours about fantasy value here as we sort through the names. Harrison doesn’t necessarily need to be rostered through his Week 8 bye.
Moore's officiating crew flexed from SNF
Mike Florio reacts to news that referee Alex Moore's officiating crew has been bumped from Sunday Night Football in Week 8 after facing widespread criticism after Week 7's matchup between the Packers and Lions.

It’s a rough blow for Noel, who had been extremely efficient on his targets. It does clear up space for some of Houston’s other receivers. The recently-activated Tank Dell and recently-acquired Marvin Harrison Jr. will benefit a bit from one fewer mouth to feed after the Texans come off bye.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #18
It tied his season-high for receptions in four games with Arizona. Harrison played just 12 snaps. The Texans do seem dedicated to giving him the ball — as you’d hope after he was acquired for a second-round pick — and we imagine he’ll be in the FLEX conversation next week against the Giants after a full week to hone trust with the coaching staff. His first two catches were on in-breaking routes.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #18
It’s a slightly short turnaround for MHJ, who was traded to the Texans on Sunday, and a weird travel schedule with Houston flying to London to take on the Jags. On the other hand, a week is still more than enough time to get Harrison Jr. installed at least as a part-time player. He isn’t much of a fantasy option this week, but a week or two of practice reps could get him in the FLEX mix if Houston proves to be a better fit for the former No. 4 overall pick.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #18
Harrison, 24, gets a fresh start partway through his third NFL season. The former first-round pick has averaged just 47.8 receiving yards per game in 33 career games. Adjusting to a new scheme on the fly could be challenging, and Harrison has not proven himself to be a reliable fantasy contributor. It could be tough sledding for fantasy managers, but if Harrison quickly adjusts to his new team, he has a clear runway to No. 2 wide receiver duties next to Nico Collins. He should be rostered in 12-team leagues. The Cardinals are also sending a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Texans in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round pick.

Life continues to be rough for fantasy managers rostering Harrison. The soon-to-be ex-Cardinal will not participate in what should be a fantasy-friendly game against the porous Lions defense. Bummer. Still no definitive word on where he will end up next week. Trey McBride, Michael Wilson and Kendrick Bourne benefit from his absence. The Cardinals will be without Wingard, one of two starting safeties, but will have DT Walter Nolen (calf) available to them.

The Cardinals informed Harrison this morning that he will be inactive for Sunday’s game against the Lions as the details of the trade are finalized, according to Schefter. While it’s unclear where Harrison is headed, Schefter mentions the Houston Texans as one team known to have interest. The Ringer’s Tom Pelissero reported this morning that the Cardinals could be seeking a second-round pick and a mid-round pick in return. Harrison has just five catches for 85 yards and one touchdown in four games this year. According to Schefter, no Harrison trade will be completed until after Sunday’s games. Stay tuned.
  • ARI Wide Receiver #18
Pelissero says the Cardinals would want a second-pick and perhaps a mid-round pick in exchange for Harrison. The 24-year-old receiver was drafted fourth overall two years ago, but under new coach Matt LaFluer he has 85 yards in four games this year. Pelissero points to Harrison’s decision to hire an agent last month as evidence he could be preparing for a trade. While Harrison has obviously been a disappointment in fantasy this year, he should find his way into some starting lineups against the Lions secondary in Week 5.
  • ARI Wide Receiver #18
Harrison capped the Cardinals’ opening drive with a beautiful 12-yard end zone grab against Deonte Banks’ 1-on-1 coverage. It was the best possible start to the beleaguered wideout’s day. It would also prove to be a false start, as he caught zero other passes on three scattered targets. Admittedly, that does not include a late DPI that set the Cardinals up at the Giants’ four-yard line as they desperately sought a potential game-winning touchdown. Good, but nowhere close to enough for all involved. MHJ has now been out-targeted 30-9 by Michael Wilson over the past two weeks. That is to say nothing of Trey McBride. The Lions are a plus Week 5 matchup, but Harrison Jr. remains more waiver wire fodder than potential upside FLEX option.
  • ARI Wide Receiver #18
Schefter noted that the Cardinals aren’t “enthralled” with the idea of trading Harrison Jr. He also said point-blank that “it would not be a surprise” for MHJ to be traded. As much as the Cardinals may not want to admit it, this experiment needs to come to an end. The team has Michael Wilson and Trey McBride locked up on long-term contracts and MHJ has done nothing this year. He has four catches for 73 scoreless yards this year. At this point, it’s likely in the best interest of both sides for Harrison Jr. to find a new home.
  • ARI Wide Receiver #18
Harrison finished the day with a modest 3/40 receiving line, though that represents a small share of the Cardinals’ offensive output on the day. His first target was a declined offensive pass interference on third down and his first reception came in the second quarter. Harrison did make a clutch catch on third-and-long in the fourth quarter but he ultimately saw just five targets on a day where Jacoby Brissett threw 52 passes. Michael Wilson looks like Brissett’s preferred wide receiver while the deep looks Harrison can excel at are not easily obtainable in this iteration of the Cardinals offense. Harrison is a low-end fantasy WR4 at best against the Giants next week.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Micah Parsons (knee) is targeting a Week 12 return.

Parsons is still working his way back from the torn ACL he suffered late in the 2025 season. Per Rapoport, Parsons is expected to return to practice this week, meaning he will be designated to return from injured reserve in the coming days. He will then ramp up for a few weeks before hopefully returning in Week 12 against the Rams. Green Bay’s Week 11 bye will give him some extra time to get fully up to speed.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Josh Jacobs is “going to continue to play, but it is possible that he gets a suspension” at the end of the league’s investigation into several claims of domestic violence against him.

A public records request revealed three additional accusations of domestic violence against Jacobs over the weekend. That is on top of the initial incident in which Jacobs ultimately pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property. The NFL put out a statement saying they will continue to look into Jacobs’ situation. Even though Jacobs was removed from the Commissioner’s Exempt List two weeks ago, the league’s investigation was still ongoing. Rapoport notes that the league is also looking into whether Jacobs was “upfront” with them about his disturbing legal situation. Of note, Jacobs’ team pushed to have video of the most recent incident sealed from public access while the league actively sought to have it released. Rapoport makes it sound like it may take some time for a suspension to be announced, but it’s more likely than not that Jacobs is suspended because of the most recent revelations.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Jakobi Meyers (ankle/hamstring) is “good to go” for Week 8 against the Colts.

Meyers was limited in the Jags’ first two practices of the week before being downgraded to a DNP on Friday. The team listed him as questionable, though the DNP was likely maintenance in hindsight. Meyers has topped three catches or 50 yards in just two games this year. He did, however, see 10 targets in the Jags’ Week 6 loss to the Texans before their bye. Meyers is in the WR4 mix for Week 8.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Kenneth Gainwell (hip) is “good to go” for Week 8 against the Falcons.

Week 7 was Gainwell’s first game with more than seven touches all year. He handled 14 opportunities, all of which were carries, and they came in a 30-point blowout win over the Panthers. Unless the Bucs stay hot and roll over the Falcons, expect Gainwell’s touch total to return to the single digits. He is barely in the RB4 mix for Week 8.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Breece Hall (quad) is “hoping for next week.”

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported an hour ago that Braelon Allen will get the start, but he didn’t explicitly rule out Hall for Week 8. Fowler’s report makes things relatively black and white. Hall will miss today’s game versus the Raiders. He got in three practices this week before being listed as questionable on Friday. Though a Week 9 return is on the table, the Jets’ failure to put Hall on IR, only for him to miss at least five games, suggests his injury is worse than they initially expected. It’s possible he’s held out beyond today’s game. Braelon Allen will continue to dominate the Jets’ backfield touches until Hall returns.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Treylon Burks (foot) is expected to play in Week 8 against the Eagles.

Burks was limited in Friday’s practice before being listed as questionable. With Terry McLaurin done for the year, Burks is one of several role players for the Commanders who will be asked to step up in the back half of 2026. Burks has nine catches for 152 yards and two scores in five appearances this year.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Colts “would seek a similar compensation package” to the Christian McCaffrey trade for Jonathan Taylor.

The Panthers netted second-, third-, fourth-, and fifth-round picks for McCaffrey when they sent him to San Francisco in 2022. Indy reportedly turned down an offer of a second-round selection plus another pick for Taylor, meaning they have their eyes set on the full compensation that Carolina landed. The fact that the Colts abruptly changed their stance on trading Taylor at all this weekend suggests it’s only a matter of time before a deal gets done. They have until November 10th, the Tuesday after Week 9, to find a trade partner.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Braelon Allen is expected to start for the Jets in Week 8 against the Raiders.

Rapoport mentioned that Breece Hall is still dealing with his quad injury, though he didn’t explicitly say that Hall will not play this week. For now, fantasy managers should assume he is out, marking his fifth absence because of the injury. Allen is averaging 20.8 touches and 105 yards from scrimmage without Hall this year. He is back on the RB1/2 border for Week 8.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter named Calvin Ridley as a potential trade candidate.

Schefter threw out several names, many of whom have already been bandied about as trade candidates. Among the lesser-discussed options, he included Jerry Jeudy and Jauan Jennings in addition to Ridley. All three are veteran wideouts who have simply disappeared in the current iterations of their respective offenses. Even with new landing spots in the cards for the trio, none of them are worth holding onto in standard fantasy leagues. Ridley has five catches for 81 yards this year. He is expected to play through his hip injury today.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Saquon Barkley “will not be traded before next week’s trade deadline.”

Though teams can change their minds in very short periods of time, Rapoport’s wording on this matter is rather definitive. Sitting at 2-5 with Jalen Hurts out for the year, it makes sense for the Eagles to be sellers at the trade deadline. Players including Dallas Goedert, Riq Woolen, and Hollywood Brown have also been the subject of trade rumors. All three are more likely than Barkley to land with new teams over the next week. Barring a change of heart from GM Howie Roseman, Barkley will continue to be the focal point of a failing offense for the remainder of the season.
