Cardinals declare QB Sam Bradford, WR Trent Sherfield, S Tre Boston, G Justin Pugh, OL Jeremy Vujnovich, OL Korey Cunningham and DT Corey Peters inactive for Week 8 against the 49ers.

Cardinals are essentially all systems go in their divisional matchup versus the Niners Sunday. With Josh Rosen and Larry Fitzgerald both removed from the team’s injury report, it will be interesting to watch how new OC Byron Leftwich uses his full arsenal of offensive weapons. Jermaine Gresham (heel) is also active, downgrading Ricky Seals-Jones another week.

    Jaguars waived QB Joey Aguilar.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Aguilar joined the Jaguars in April as a UDFA from Tennessee, where he played one season. Aguilar turned 25 in June and is unlikely to be claimed by another team. Fowler adds that the Jaguars hope Aguilar returns to the practice squad, which seems like the most likely scenario.
Robinson's injury should not change fantasy lineup
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson was removed from practice this week after a head injury. Kyle Dvorchak breaks down why managers shouldn't move Robinson off their lineups just yet.

    Jaguars waived Yasir Abdullah.

Abdullah appeared in 10 games for the Jags last year but only logged two defensive snaps. He was on the field for 176 special teams snaps. He should be able to find a home on a practice squad once rosters are settled.

Cardinals acquired TE Hunter Long from the Jaguars.

Terms of the trade haven’t yet been disclosed. The Jaguars drafted enough tight ends to push Long out of a job, but he’s generally been a pretty stellar blocking tight end over the course of his career. Long was once acquired in a deal involving Jalen Ramsey — this isn’t quite that, but he should stick on Arizona’s roster. He’s not particularly fantasy-relevant.

    Bucs waived Devin Culp.

Tampa Bay also waived/released WR Dean Patterson, WR Eric Rivers, DL Jayson Jones, S Rashad Wisdom, and DT Josiah Green. A 2024 seventh-round pick, Culp appeared in 13 games last year. He only caught one ball, but it was a six-yard touchdown. He is expected to sign with the Bucs’ practice squad if he makes it through waivers.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Jalon Daniels has earned the Bucs’ backup quarterback spot.

It was subsequently announced that Jake Browning has been released. A UDFA out of Kansas, Daniels impressed during training camp and the preseason. He completed 27-of-44 passes for 239 yards, one score, and no interceptions. Daniels also ran for a touchdown. With Baker Mayfield set to hit free agency after this year, Daniels could be worth stashing in Superflex dynasty leagues.

    Buccaneers released QB Jake Browning.

Jalon Daniels won the backup job in Tampa Bay. Browning was pretty unimpressive in 2025 and didn’t win a job over a rookie UDFA — it may not be easy for him to find a roster spot elsewhere.

    Bills released S Geno Stone.

The news was first reported by NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. Stone spent the last two seasons with the Bengals, starting all 34 games. In that time, he racked up six interceptions, 10 passes defended and 185 total tackles. Stone could wind up on the Bills practice squad, but will hit the open market first to pursue potential opportunities with other organizations.

    Dolphins released LB Tyrel Dodson.

Second-round pick Jacob Rodriguez has won a starting linebacker job. The 28-year-old Dodson will look to catch on elsewhere.

    Dolphins released WR Terrace Marshall.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. A former second-round pick by the Panthers in the 2021 NFL Draft, Marshall has now been cut from the worst wide receiver room in the NFL. Marshall signed a reserve/future contract earlier this offseason, but fell short in his bid to make the roster. He last appeared in an NFL regular season game with the Raiders in 2024.

    Steelers released LB Elandon Roberts.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. A former starting linebacker with the Raiders, Roberts joined the Steelers earlier this month as linebacker depth. Without an injury, there ultimately wasn’t room for him on the 53-man roster. Roberts started 16 games for the Raiders last year and had 90 total tackles. He’ll hit the open market where he could get a call from a linebacker-needy team.
