Georgia Southern sophomore RB Jalen White had 14 carries for 157 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 59-33 win over Arkansas State.
Georgia Southern was able to run all over Arkansas State with 503 rushing yards in this game. White (6'0"/215) was behind Logan Wright, who had a monster game of his own with 208 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Wright would sit most of the second half, allowing White to have a game of his own. His first touchdown came in the third quarter when an Arkansas State defender thought he tackled White, but he fell on top of the defender, the knee or elbow never hit the ground, he got up and ran off for 59 yards. He got another score later in the fourth quarter when he cut through a gap on the left and he was gone. Georgia Southern will go on the road to face Sun Belt division rival Troy next Saturday.
