  • SF Running Back #24

The Athletic’s Matt Barrows believes 49ers RB Jordan Mason could be the team’s primary running back in Week 18.
The Niners will surely rest Christian McCaffrey, who sustained a calf injury last week against Washington. Barrows believes the 49ers are unlikely to play the injury-plagued Elijah Mitchell, leaving Mason as the RB1 against the Rams in a largely meaningless Week 18 game. Tyron Davis-Price, Barrow said, could be activated from the practice squad for the team’s final regular season game. Mason has impressed with a 5.6 yards per carry in 77 rushes over the past two seasons.

Riley Patterson converted 2-of-2 field goal attempts in the Dolphins’ Week 14 win over the Jets.
Patterson also made all four of his extra point attempts as the Dolphins trounced the Jets. He saw a lot of scoring opportunities and gave fantasy managers a productive day with two field goal kicks of 43 and 53 yards. Patterson will have less scoring opportunities against the Steelers in Week 15 but is productive enough for fantasy managers to keep him in lineups.
Gibbs can unseat CMC, Taylor as fantasy's top RB
Kyle Dvorchak discusses Jahmyr Gibbs' massive game against the Cowboys on Thursday night, sharing why the dual-threat back appears poised to finish be fantasy's top overall running back to finish out the year.
  • WAS Running Back #22
Jacory Croskey-Merritt rushed seven times for 32 yards in the Commanders’ Week 14 loss to the Vikings.
Over the last three weeks, “Bill” has seen 17, 12, and now 10 snaps, respectively. The rookie seventh-rounder has been outplayed by both Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNichols over the last month and a half, and saw most of his playing time come with the game well out of reach. There’s little reason for fantasy managers entering the playoffs to hold JCM at this time.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #4
DK Metcalf caught 7-of-12 attempts for 148 yards in the Steelers’ Week 14 win against the Ravens.
The Steelers finally pushed the ball downfield after a season full of constant check downs to everyone in the offense, including the big-bodied speedster Metcalf. Metcalf had a season high in air yards and receiving yards in this one, and came close to not one but two touchdowns from Aaron Rodgers. Metcalf took full advantage of single coverage against a Ravens secondary that was overmatched by Metcalf’s size-speed combination. Coming into Week 14, he had seen more than six targets just five times this year. If the Steelers continue being aggressive in Week 15 against Miami, Metcalf could push for top-15 status.
  • MIA Tight End #85
Greg Dulcich caught 3-of-3 targets for 41 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 14 win over the Jets.
Dulcich out-snapped Darren Waller and tied him for targets as the Dolphins continue to utilize both in the passing game. He made a catch-and-run of over 20 yards into the red zone that was nullified by penalty and kept his yardage to 41 on the day. Dulcich is difficult to trust on a weekly basis and is on the TE2 borderline for Week 15.
  • CLE Running Back #10
Quinshon Judkins rushed 14 times for 26 yards in the Browns’ Week 14 loss to the Titans, adding a 58-yard reception.
Judkins appeared poised for a big day when he began the Browns’ third series with a 58-yard rumble to the Titans’ two-yard line following a short play-action dump-off from Shedeur Sanders, but he was stymied on the subsequent goal-line carry and Sanders finished the drive off two plays later with a short scoring strike to David Njoku. Judkins then took a backseat to fellow rookie Sanders despite snowy conditions that would typically call for a run-game commitment. Sanders played his best game as a pro, but the Browns still managed to cough up just the second Titans victory all year. Judkins’ pass-catching backups have gotten a bit more involved since Sanders replaced Dillon Gabriel, but Dylan Sampson lost a bad fumble this afternoon. Judkins still has an RB2 role on lock, while the Bears are an A+ Week 15 matchup on the ground.
  • WAS Wide Receiver #1
Deebo Samuel caught 4-of-6 targets for 27 yards in the Commanders’ Week 14 loss to the Vikings.
Facing a third-and-fourteen on the Commanders’ opening possession, Deebo caught a screen pass and turned it upfield for a 15-yard gain — his biggest play of the day. His most notable play, however, was the dropped end zone target he had on a fourth-and-goal a few plays later that immediately ended the Commanders’ best shot at a touchdown all afternoon. Samuel’s six targets tied Terry McLaurin for the team lead in this one. He’ll have some upside as a FLEX play in Week 15’s game against the Giants.
  • ATL Running Back #25
Tyler Allgeier rushed 11 times for 34 yards in the Falcons’ Week 14 loss to the Seahawks, adding two catches for 33 yards.
Allgeier had the opportunity to plunder another short touchdown from Bijan Robinson late in the game. Raheem Morris gave him two cracks at scoring inside the five-yard line. He was stuffed on both and Kirk Cousins threw a pair of incomplete passes on third and fourth down. Robinson still led the way in the backfield with 20 carries. Allgeier’s goal line role will keep him in the RB4 mix when the Falcons face the Bucs next week.
  • MIA Tight End #83
Darren Waller caught 1-of-3 targets for 13 yards in the Dolphins’ Week 14 win over the Jets.
Waller also received one carry for four yards. He was mainly quiet with the passing game having a low volume day in a blowout win. Greg Dulcich out-snapped Waller, 35 to 24 on the day. Waller’s receiving output will vary with the Dolphins’ passing volume as his one-catch day comes just one week after leading the team with 47 yards in Week 13. With Dulcich involved, Waller is squarely in the TE2 ranks for Week 15 against the Steelers.
  • WAS Wide Receiver #17
Terry McLaurin caught 3-of-6 targets for 41 yards in the Commanders’ Week 14 loss to the Vikings.
Were it not for a 28-yard reception on the Commanders’ first possession, McLaurin’s day would have been even more forgettable. Playing with his QB1 for the first time since Week 2, McLaurin and the Commanders failed to find the end zone in the 31-0 defeat. His offensive struggles were only made worse after Jayden Daniels (elbow) exited on the opening drive of the third quarter, but the Commanders looked out of sync for most of the day regardless of who was under center. McLaurin will hope to get right in Week 15’s game against the Giants, where he’ll be on the WR3 radar.
  • PIT Running Back #14
Kenneth Gainwell had four rushes for 15 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers’ Week 14 win against the Ravens, adding six catches for 27 yards.
Gainwell continued operating as the Steelers’ primary pass-catching back, seeing the second most targets among Pittsburgh players behind DK Metcalf (12). Gainwell ran a pass route on 19 of the team’s 36 drop backs while Jaylen Warren had 16 routes and four receptions on four targets, including a touchdown. Gainwell entered Week 14 as the seventh most targeted running back in the NFL. Gainwell’s role in the Steelers offense has kept him viable in PPR formats. He should remain a flex play in 14-team formats next week against the Dolphins, who have been generous to pass catchers out of the backfield in 2025.
