Giants QB Jaxson Dart (concussion) was limited on Wednesday.
Today’s practice was reportedly non-contact. Dart’s participation is a great sign. The fourth phase of the NFL’s five-phase concussion protocol allows for non-contact football activities, including “throwing, catching, running and other position-specific activities.” The third phase allows players to “practice with the team in sport-specific activities for 30 minutes or less,” making it difficult to discern which phase Dart was in without timing his participation duration. If Dart indeed progressed through the fourth phase today, he could pass through the fifth phase (clearance) this evening or tomorrow morning, as long as he remains setback-free.
