Kirk Cousins completed 15-of-30 passes for 162 yards and two interceptions in the Falcons’ 37-9, Week 14 loss to the Seahawks.
Cousins stuck to dink-and-dunk football versus the Seahawks’ elite defense. Even that couldn’t protect him from turnovers, of which he had two. Both were on short targets into traffic. The first was a tight-window pass to Kyle Pitts that deflected into the hands of a defender. The second was on a screen to David Sills. Seattle sniffed the play out instantly and hit Sills as the ball touched his hands. The shot popped the ball into the air and Devon Witherspoon eventually fielded the pass. Cousins has three touchdowns and three interceptions in four starts this year. Needless to say, he is not on the fantasy radar, even in 2QB leagues, heading into Thursday night’s matchup versus the Buccaneers.
