ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported MHJ will be on a snap count, making him a volatile WR3 for what fantasy managers are hoping will be a shootout in Cincinnati. Inactive for the Cardinals are K Joshua Karty, S Budda Baker, CB Kei’Trel Clark, CB Kalen King, TE Pharaoh Brown, OL Evan Brown and DL P.J. Mustipher.

Scott started all 17 regular season games and the team’s Wild Card loss in 2025 after serving in a reserve role the season prior. He returns on a team-friendly, one-year deal to presumably serve as the team’s starting free safety after notching a career-high 111 tackles.

Alie-Cox returns to the Colts for his ninth season with the franchise after he re-signed for one season. He ranked second on the team in snaps (419) at the position behind then-rookie Tyler Warren, making the signing a pure depth move that gives the offense the ability to run 12-personnel alignments, although Alie-Cox’s modest 18.5% route participation rate a season ago leaves the veteran bereft of fantasy value moving forward.

This one is a bit head-scratching. Mooney’s skillset seems to carry significant overlap with returning veteran Darius Slayton, the latter of whom recently signed a new three-year deal that ties him to the franchise through 2027. Mooney did play from the slot at a 41% frequency a season ago and the team saw Wan’Dale Robinson walk in free agency, although Mooney will have to compete with veteran holdover Isaiah Hodgins and recent signee Calvin Austin for snaps inside, if that is the vision from the team. The size of the contract seems to indicate he will have a legitimate role in the offense in 2026.

The 49ers have now signed a new long snapper and punter while also re-signing kicker Eddy Pineiro in the previous week as they look to completely overhaul a special teams unit that finished 2025 dead last in net punt average and 24th in kickoff average. The led the league in field goal conversion rate, leading to the new deal for Pineiro. The financials of the contract were not immediately made available.

Browns was released by the Cardinals on Thursday and quickly finds a new home in Houston, where he could push for a starting role on the interior offensive line. The seven-year veteran bounced around the league his first two seasons before starting 68 games between 2021 and 2025. The low contract valuation appears to be a steal for the Texans.

Lance served as the backup to Justin Herbert in 2025, apparently doing enough to warrant a return to the team for the coming season. Lance has started six games across 16 appearances in four professional seasons with the 49ers, Cowboys, and Chargers, starting one game each in the previous two seasons. His career five-to-five touchdown-to-interception ratio and 54.0% completion rate leave a lot to be desired, particularly considering he has not thrown a touchdown since his rookie season in 2021. At bare minimum, he brings familiarity with the offensive system and continuity behind Herbert.

Jean-Charles spent the entirety of the 2025 season on the Seahawks’ practice squad after playing for the Packers, 49ers, and Saints during his first four years in the league. The signing is a depth move with the four-year veteran carrying the ability to carve out snaps in camp and preseason.

Caliendo has played the entirety of his three-year NFL career in Kansas City, starting seven games across 42 appearances with the franchise. He offers solid depth along the front and is capable of playing all three interior line positions. The team originally did not offer Caliendo a tender but end up bringing him back on the one-year deal. The financials of the contract were not immediately made available.

The details of the restructure were not immediately made available, but it sounds like the two sides did not address the maturation of the contract, meaning Ridley is still under team control through the 2027 season after signing a four-year contract with the team prior to the 2024 season. Ridley missed the second half of 2025 due to a broken fibula suffered in the middle of November. Rumors swirled throughout the offseason of the team potentially releasing Ridley, but he remains in Tennessee... at least for the immediate future.

The well-traveled quarterback turns 40 on Sunday and heads back to Cincinnati for his third stint with the team after agreeing to terms on a one-year contract. He’ll have a good chance to earn the backup role behind franchise quarterback Joe Burrow considering the only other quarterback on the roster is Sean Clifford. Johnson has spent time with 16 NFL franchises during his sprawling career, amassing 11 professional starts across 50 appearances, most recently starting two games for the Commanders in 2025 in relief of the injured Jayden Daniels.
