Schultz pulled up running a first quarter route in the Patriots’ end zone and walked off the field very gingerly. He then made his way to the locker room without assistance, but at a slow pace. He was ruled out in the second quarter. The Texans’ de facto No. 1 pass catcher with Nico Collins sidelined, Schultz’s loss is a potentially enormous blow. C.J. Stroud ended the drive following Schultz’s departure with a horrid pick, and has been struggling with turnovers ever since.

This quote comes from Irving’s annual youth football camp, which he put on this weekend. The Bucs’ RB1 was still dealing with the effects of offseason shoulder surgery after he played through a shoulder injury last season. He missed some time during OTAs but was able to get on the field in some capacity, and with the pads set to come on in a few days, this is great news for Irving ahead of camp. There has been some talk about the Buccaneers possibly taking a committee approach to its running back room this season after the team added Kenneth Gainwell to the mix and still has Sean Tucker in the mix. Reports out of camp will be worth monitoring as we look to get a sense of how the touch distribution could shape up at the start of the season, but Irving being healthy and putting last season’s injury issues behind him will go a long way in helping his fantasy value this season.

Emmanwori, along with RB Kenny McIntosh and CB Tyrone Broden, were all placed on the PUP list but will be eligible to come off at any time. Emmanwori is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed injury, while McIntosh is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in last year’s training camp. All three players are eligible to come off the PUP list at any time once the team deems them ready to participate in camp.

This news comes shortly after the Packers signed Devonte Wyatt to a three-year, $57 million extension. Kraft, who, like Wyatt, is also in the final year of his rookie deal, is recovering from a torn ACL that ended his 2025 season but is trending toward being ready for Week 1 based on recent reports and has been among the most efficient tight ends in the league. Since earning a full-time role in 2024, Kraft has totaled 82 receptions for 1,196 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging an impressive 14.6 YPR. With training camp drawing near, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this deal get done in the very near future.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz was the first to report the deal, which includes a $20 million signing bonus. Wyatt, 28, is entering the final year of his rookie contract, but will now be under contract with the Packers through the 2029 season. The 2022 first-rounder was on pace for a career year in 2025 before an ankle injury ended his season in Week 13. Wyatt has totaled four or more sacks in each of the last three seasons while totaling 21 TFLs and three fumble recoveries over that span.

Buchanan was drafted in the fourth round of last year’s draft and wound up starting 13 of the 14 games he appeared in last season. As a rookie, he wound up racking up 93 tackles, five TFLs, and a half-sack before a torn ACL he suffered in Week 15 ended his season. This isn’t the first time we have heard somebody suggest Buchanan could return sooner than expected. Back in June, head coach Jesse Minter said Buchanan was “really far ahead of schedule” for a player who was injured in December. It would be surprising if Buchanan avoided the PUP list to start training camp, but it sounds like the second-year linebacker is trending in a positive direction with a little under two months to go before the start of the season.

Goodell’s current contract will expire in March 2027. According to Maske, who said he spoke with “four people familiar with the owners’ views,” Goodell’s next contract will keep him in place as the league negotiates new broadcasting deals and a CBA expected to include an 18th regular-season game. Goodell will be 68 when his current contract expires and has served as the NFL’s commissioner since 2006. While we don’t know the exact timeline for a deal, Maske did say that “it does not appear there are any major stumbling blocks” in the way for an extension eventually getting done.

Kraft has said earlier this offseason that he plays to play in Week 1 with “no pitch count,” and Schneidman himself said late last month that the tight end “should be full go” by then. That said, whether or not Kraft is playing in full by the start of training camp is to be determined. Kraft suffered a torn ACL in Week 9 of last season and could be a candidate for the PUP list to open camp when the Packers take the field for their first practice in 10 days. His status will be one to monitor, but Kraft taking the field in any capacity to start camp would be a good sign.

According to the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, Barkley’s home was broken into shortly after 5:00 AM EST on Saturday, but suspects had already left the location by the time authorities arrived. Barkley and his family were home at the time of the break-in but were thankfully unharmed. No arrests have been made at this time, and the incident remains under investigation. Barkley is expected to report to training camp next week.

Lemon has been sidelined with a hamstring injury for most of the offseason, but the 20th overall pick of this year’s draft is preparing to be a full go when the Eagles first take the practice field on July 29th. Lemon is expected to take on a big role in his first season after the Eagles traded A.J. Brown to the Patriots last month, but whether or not that translates into a breakout rookie campaign is to be determined. DeVonta Smith has been the talk of the offseason for the Eagles and is expected to command a significant portion of the targets in his first season as the WR1, and Philly has been among the most run-heavy teams in the league since signing Saquon Barkley in 2024. Given his time away, the camp reports on Lemon will be one to keep an eye on as this will be our first real look at him since his last season at USC.

Bouwmeester joins former undrafted free agent Corliss Waitman on the 49ers’ roster, with the two presumably set for an offseason position battle in camp and during the preseason. The Australia native averaged 44.5 yards per punt with the Longhorns in 2025.
