Aranda has been one of the more impactful middle-of-the-order run producers this season with a whopping 32 RBI through 40 contests. The 27-year-old first baseman delievered a sacrifice fly and a run-scoring single before taking Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman deep in the fifth inning for his eighth round-tripper of the year. He’s been on fire recently, hitting .346 (18-for-52) with two homers and 11 RBI over his last 15 games.

Giménez took Rays starter Drew Rasmussen deep for a three-run homer in the second inning before repeating the feat against reliever Ian Seymour in the seventh to record the first multi-homer performance of his career. The 27-year-old infielder was one of the few bright spots in this one as he was responsible for all five of Toronto’s runs in a losing effort. He’s up to five round-trippers already through 38 games after mustering only seven across 101 contests last year in his Blue Jays debut.

Bazzana capped Cleveland’s five-run explosion in the third inning by slicing a two-run double into the left-center field gap. He also drew a pair of walks in this one, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances out of the eighth spot in the order. The 23-year-old top prospect has hit a bit of a rough path, which isn’t completely unexpected, while acclimating to everyday life in the majors, hitting .211/.423/.316 with one homer and seven steals in 12 games since being called up back on April 28.

Mayo catapulted Baltimore ahead with a three-run blast off Yankees reliever Brent Headrick after they were completely flummoxed by lefty Ryan Weathers for six-plus frames to open the contest. It was his fourth long ball of the season and first time leaving the yard since April 24. The 24-year-old former top prospect was a late addition to the lineup at DH after Samuel Basallo was scratched with knee discomfort.

Rice put New York on the scoreboard with an opposite-field blast off Orioles starter Brandon Young in the third inning. It was his 13th round-tripper of the season. It was an extremely encouraging sign to see the 27-year-old burgeoning star drive the ball after going 0-for-13 with five strikeouts in three contests against the Brewers following a four-game absence due to a wrist contusion last week.

Weathers carried a no-hit bid into the seventh inning before finally relenting a leadoff single to Adley Rutschman and was lifted from the contest after issuing a free pass to Tyler O’Neill on his 101st pitch of the contest. The 26-year-old southpaw generated 15 swinging strikes and fell just shy of recording his second double-digit strikeout performance of his Yankees debut. Not too bad for someone who lost nearly 10 pounds due to a viral infection last week. He was forced to settle for a no-decision after Brent Headrick served up a go-ahead homer following his departure. He’s certainly making it challenging for New York to consider moving him to the bullpen once Gerrit Cole (elbow) is ready to return in a couple weeks. He’ll close out a two-start week with a favorable matchup against the crosstown Mets on Sunday.

With their season trending in the wrong direction, the Mets will turn to Ewing to provide a spark after just 12 games at the Triple-A level. The 21-year-old outfielder has gotten off to a phenomenal start this season in the upper minors, slashing .339/.447/.514 with two homers and 17 steals in 30 games. His top-of-the-scale speed makes him a weapon on the basepaths and should provide a pathway to immediate fantasy relevance following a 70-steal campaign last year in the minors. He’s more of a line-drive hitter than an over-the-fence power threat but he projects as a top-of-the-order table-setter capable of hitting for average and stealing bases. He’s at least worthy of a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats.

Betts is back at shortstop and hitting second in Monday’s series opener against the longtime rival Giants following a five-week absence recovering from an oblique strain. The 33-year-old fantasy stalwart was hitting .179 (5-for-28) with two homers and seven RBI across eight games prior to the injury. He might need time to knock the metaphorical rust off after just a pair of minor league rehab contests following the lengthy layoff. However, his return should provide a massive boost for the Dodgers, and fantasy managers as well.

Basallo will get some additional time off to recover after being involved in a home-plate collision during Sunday’s series finale against the Athletics. It’ll be Coby Mayo taking over at DH and hitting sixth to face Yankees lefty Ryan Weathers. The 21-year-old backstop has been tearing the cover off the ball recently, hitting .382 (21-for-55) with two homers and nine RBI over his last 15 games. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Not good. Jakob Junis will take the ball to open a bullpen game on Monday night in his place. Eovaldi was in line for a two-start week against Arizona and Houston after spinning an eight-inning masterpiece against the Yankees his last time out. The 36-year-old veteran will presumably undergo imaging to determine the severity of the issue and whether he’ll require a trip to the injured list. It’s obviously an alarming development for the Rangers, and fantasy managers as well. There should be a definitive update on his status at some point shortly.
