The oft-injured Tyson hurt his hamstring in training camp and is yet to make his NFL debut. According to Schultz, he should be good to go Sunday against the Browns. A limited participant in practice throughout the week, it’s unclear how much Tyson might play in his first game. Eventually, though, he should settle in as the Saints’ WR2 behind Chris Olave. Tyson’s return also puts a damper on the fantasy prospects of Devaughn Vele and Juwan Johnson.
  • LA Outside Linebacker #95
No surprise here as Rams HC Sean McVay told reporters Friday that Garrett is expected to play in Week 9 against the Commanders. The Rams are 4-4, but will finally have Garrett and Aaron Donald on the same defensive line. That could cause problems for opposing offensive lines, starting with Washington’s on Sunday.
  • SEA Quarterback #2
Pelissero reiterated that Lock looked good in practice and will start against the Cardinals in Week 9. Still, Lock has been dealing with this since earlier this season and at one point wasn’t able to throw because of it. Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald said earlier this week he didn’t know how much Lock will be able to throw. Despite his play in relief of Sam Darnold (quad/ribs) earlier this year, Lock isn’t a priority in 1QB leagues. Jalen Milroe could even be worth stashing in deeper formats given that Lock’s tendonitis could flare up at anytime.
  • TEN Running Back #20
A previous report from Albert Breer suggested the team might be willing to trade Pollard, who is in the last year of his contract, for a fourth-round pick. Schefter threw cold water on that theory, reporting Tennessee isn’t interested in trading the 29-year-old running back. Showing fresh legs in recent weeks, Pollard is a solid RB2 the rest of the way even on a struggling Titans offense.
  • SF Wide Receiver #11
Aiyuk was rumored to end up in Washington all offseason and there seemingly could still be a fit there with Terry McLaurin out for the season. However, this report suggests the Commanders haven’t completely ruled it out rather than this being something they’re actively pursuing. Aiyuk met with 49ers brass Friday, though a resolution proved elusive. This saga is far from over.
  • LAC Outside Linebacker #52
Despite the Chargers being 0-7, Los Angeles isn’t acting like it. Mack is 35, on an expiring contract and seeming could garner an early day-three pick in a trade. Still, the Chargers are content to keep Mack, who Schefter says won’t be going anywhere prior to the trade deadline.
  • ARI Tight End #85
To no one’s surprise, the Cardinals hung up the phone in record time. Even as a perennially rebuilding franchise, Arizona was never going to trade arguably the league’s best tight end in the middle of his prime. Schefter added that the Cardinals have “checked in around the league on tight ends.” Evan Engram has a measly 13 catches for 136 yards this year and Denver’s passing attack has taken a step back despite acquiring Jaylen Waddle in the offseason. Dallas Goedert is the biggest name believed to be available at tight end ahead of Tuesday’s deadline. On an expiring contract, he wouldn’t cost the Broncos much. Carolina tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders is likely on the trade block as well.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
While the Jets traded young players for draft picks last season, don’t expect New York to do that again this year. A team source told Jones the Jets moving Hall is “very unlikely to happen.” Hall appears ready to return from a quad injury in Week 9 against the Chiefs, but is difficult to trust in fantasy with Braelon Allen potentially cutting into his workload after a strong showing in Hall’s absence in recent weeks.
  • MIN Quarterback #1
Previous reports said Murray was “week-to-week” with the injury. There’s no question the Vikings will monitor Murray’s health every week, but a Grade 2 hamstring strain typically leads to missing multiple games. With Carson Wentz set to start on Monday Night Football against the Bills in Week 9 and the Vikings monitoring outside QB options ahead of the trade deadline, Murray isn’t even guaranteed to be the starter again once he’s healthy.
  • IND Quarterback #17
Despite ESPN’s Adam Schefter trying to will a Jones trade into existence by recreating Brian Windhorst memes, Pelissero reports the Colts have informed teams they aren’t trading the 29-year-old quarterback. Jones is set to start against the Cowboys in Week 9, but could find himself on the bench once the Colts are eliminated from playoff contention given the injury guarantees for next season in his contract.
