PGA TOUR rookie and World No. 335 Joey Garber is in Reno, Nevada, for this week’s opposite-field Barracuda Championship, and arrives off a missed cut by five at last week’s opposite-field Barbasol (72-73). UPDATE: Garber missed the cut by four points in the Modified Stableford format.
In his only other appearance, Garber finished T13 in 2016 as an open-qualifier, where he closed with bogey-free 66 (+12 points), the only blemish-free lap in R4. He checks in batting .500 on the season with 10 made cuts and 10 missed, and at 163rd in the FedExCup standings. The Georgia alum has two top 25s in 20 starts, both doubling as top 10s, most recently a career-best T7 at the 3M Open three starts ago, where he closed with trip 65s. His other top 10 was T10 at the opposite-field Puerto Rico Open back in February.
