World No. 30 Kevin Na finished bogey-birdie for a 1-under 36-35=71 in R2 of the 86th Masters, up three spots to T7 on 2-under 142, five back of the leader on the course Scottie Scheffler, who’s 4-under thru 15 and 7-under total.
The 38-year-old owns just two top 10s in 41 prior majors, most recently a best of solo 7th at the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont 18 major starts ago. There’s four top 25s on the Masters resume in 10 previous visits, two straight, three of those T12’s, including last year, where he was T32 at the midpoint (72-70-70-71). The South Korean-born American, who checked in off a T9 at the WGC-Match Play two weeks ago (2-1-1 record), opened with a five-birdie four-bogey 71, and matched that exact total on Day 2, piping all 14 fairways and 12 greens in regulation, and posting 1.50 putts per GIR.
