PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – One moment of suspense occurred at last night’s dinner when emcee Rich Lerner turned the players’ attention toward the video screen for a sneak peek at the 2011 slate of Amateur Tour majors.
As the slideshow-style video revealed site after site, the audience voiced its approval of nearly all of the 20 major events on the schedule, which include 11 current PGA Tour venues and 2015 U.S. Open host, Chambers Bay.
Kenny Booth, senior director of events for Golf Channel, said the 2011 National Championship venue will be announced in November.
