October is “Long Drive” month on Golf Channel, and the latest issue of Golf Channel Academy Magazine – out Tuesday – features tips on how to pick up 15 to 25 more yards from GCA lead coach Kip Puterbaugh and the staff at Aviara Golf Academy. The all-instruction digital publication – the first of its kind – also includes video tips and feature articles and columns from Golf Channel Academy’s top-notch coaches. Readers can sign up and access the issue at www.GolfChannelAcademy.com as part of a limited time free trial.
In addition to the long drive tips from Puterbaugh and his staff, the October issue features a column from Golf Channel “School of Golf” host Martin Hall on Greg Norman, and how he was able to generate a high Smash Factor. There’s also an in-depth swing analysis of Rory McIlroy, pound per pound the longest hitter in the game, and some equipment pointers from Golf Channel Academy’s experts to help you increase your distance off the tee.
The monthly magazine is currently viewable on desktop computers only. (Look for it on tablets and smartphones in the coming months.) It will be published 20 times per year starting in 2016, and will be one of the featured benefits offered to members of the Golf Channel Academy Club.
